5. I had a boss AW3 which was kinda cool. Quite fun to mess with the humaniser effect
6. Running your amps too hot. Need a bigger amp to drive the cabs
7. The small head is ok... But what if you blow your drivers? Then you are knee deep in it.
8. I have two combo amp There really is no need for another... Unless you plan on running a multiple channel signal
9. DI it and just use the backline as monitor
10. I'd gut the body and dry it out in the airing cupboard. Or if you have de humidifier use that. The electrics are most certainly junked. Other hardware, well I guess you can say its the relic look!
11. I would gut the electrics and start again if its not like a sponge already. The body might be okay if you cook it a bit in an airing cupboard. How long was it submerged in water? You might get away if it was just dunked but if its been stewing for days on end then it's probably shagged.
12. +1 truckstop sort your EQ out to free up some power... chop some of the low freqs. they sap a lot of power to make speaker go with the EQ, make sad face you hear the mids better and it will appear to sound 'louder' perceived volume i think it is coined
13. The annoying thing about it is that there is no switch to turn it off. Must be unplugged. And that bloody blue LED on light. Lights up my room!! Had to blue tack that.
14. Yeah I'm sure the electronics are the same. Except the blue one has battery installed
15. Masonry drill and some deep seated wall plugs. Or expanding bolts. I have 5 guitars hanging from a 10mm plasterboard wall
16. I got a behringer xenyx 802 mixer which is really good. Cheap and cheerful. Sound quality is fantastic. Doesn't sound like ass!
17. roland have been around for a long time, their products in general are pretty good quality indeed.
18.
The Wife
Trade me for yours then! Hah! Then I guess I can have GASSS again
19. hah! glad to hear it. for me, i cannot justify spending 4 grand on a bass, it wont sound that much different to a cheap 50 quid precison jobby off gumtree, yeah aesthetically the 4 grander would look much nicer but it doesnt necessarily mean that it will play like its worth! i've had a go in the music shop on a couple of 'expensive' guitars, fenders/gibsons/rickenbackers etc however they didnt play and sound half as good as my 40 quid encore strat which i've had kicking around since my teens. the liquid smooth fretboard, slightly worn frets, foam light body, pitch perfect intonation (i was bored one day and decided to tweak the bridge) all from a 40 quid argos jobby!! the sound, for me, boils down to effects board and amplification. if either or are cheap, it will sound crap. flame me, i dont care, im drunk.
20. take the bugger apart and have a good ol nose around in there... probably needs some soldering love
21. 8x10 too much low end? what about 8x15? now thats low end!
