    Yep I know how you feel. I’m too much of a sloppy player to do a lot of bass lines so I generally simplify but it can sound rather basic One for example is boys and girls blur. I can’t seem to get the precision notes and I end up sliding all over the place in order to quantize to the beat.

    Yep shimverb or the toms line ocean verb. Less than 30 quid off eBay. Totally worth it. I’m doing an ambient guitar thing and this works great 👍 cheap and cheerful. Making some musical things doesn’t have to be expensive.

    If you want cheap just to play around with then try ammoon looper. £30 off eBay. Check on YouTube for demo. Not bad for 30 quid imo.

    Bump I have and definitely recommend this for beginner to get to grips with mixing. Has a built in sound card so you can cue up next track unlike the regular mixtrack.

    LOl these stories .. To get the sub bass I needed I farted in a can, recorded that to tape and played it at half speed and over dubbed dogs barking at postmen for dubstep in 1971

    Great thread. Like these ones. I started with a crummy acoustic in early 2000s trying to learn beatle covers with a pal during school We realised there was no point in two rhythm sections so I decided to go on bass on the acoustic Record our jams to tape and tried multi tracking when I got a portastudio. Tapes. Ah the nostalgia.

    I’m looking at the Trace Elliot elf or tc BH250. Love TE but the TC looks more feature rich.

    GP12 SMX. I remember having the 4x10. Weighed a ton. Sounded huge. With a GP7 1x15 as well. Just about makes you sick. Was scared to dial it higher than halfway.
