  1. Yep that was the first thing be assumed, though he was certain it was wired up the same as the previous jack. Regardless he re-wired it again but opposite, and the problem persisted. Hence we're both now stumped!
  2. Hi all, wondering if someone could help me with a problem. I gave my Ibanez ATK805 to my tech a couple of months ago to replace the original 1/4" jack, as it had become a little loose (audio signal would cut out if the cable was twisted in a certain way). Within a couple days, he replaced the jack without any issues. I used the bass at a couple of rehearsals and everything seemed fine. A couple weeks later, I took the bass out for band practice only to find the 9v battery was completely dead. Thought it a bit strange as in 10 years of playing, I've only replaced the 9v once or twice on any of my basses. No matter, battery replaced and all working again. However, I took it out again for another rehearsal the following week, and the battery was dead/dying again. All farty. Replaced it with my last spare 9v and all was fine again. Took the bass back to the tech and explained the problem. He's since replaced the jack a further two times, with two different jacks, and the battery drain issue still persists. He cannot think of anything else that can be causing it, and is certain its all wired up correctly... Can anyone think of anything that might have been missed?
  3. Hi all, I am currently experiencing a very annoying problem with my Ibanez ATK805. It was previously working perfectly fine, the 9v battery would last for months. I always carry a spare battery in my gig bag, but don't recall having to ever actually change it, ever. The input jack had a slight loose connection in it - the signal would cut out if the 1/4" cable was pushed in a particular angle. So, I took it to my local guitar repair tech to replace the jack. Now, the jack problem is fixed but the 9v battery drains extremely fast. But it seems to be random. At one time a brand new battery will last a couple weeks, and then I'd take it out of my gig bag and it would be dying. Though another time, I'd put in a brand new battery and it would be completely dead two days later... It's been back to the guitar tech twice now to try and diagnose the problem, but he can't replicate the issue and doesn't know what's wrong with it. So, I thought I'd post on here to see if anyone has any suggestions! Thanks all
  4. Bassist available for originals band - Portsmouth Influences - Chili peppers, Rage against the machine, Deftones, etc
  5. Did you notice much of a volume increase? I've got the Puma 500 and find it fairly quiet
  6. Haha fair enough, I love opening up all my amps and seeing how they all differ
  7. Out of curiosity, what poweramp is that? 250asx2?
  8. Large selection of pedalboard accessories. I recently disassembled my pedalboard so no longer have any use for these.
  9. Have done!
  10. Been a while - how would you say it compared to the Streamliner?
  11. I had an Eich T900 and prefer the Reidmar tbh
  12. Love the reasoning. Though I believe they're round about the same power output (ICEpower 250ASX vs 700ASC)
  13. I just have no need for two amps, so I'd rather get back some cash and free up some space. Resale value isn't much of a concern.
  14. Hi guys and gals, I currently have two amps in my possession but only wish to keep one. Trouble is I'm really struggling to decide which one as I like them both. I play genres like RHCP and RATM, fairly aggressive with lots of punch and a touch of overdrive. I feel the EBS does a slightly better job of this and also sounds louder, but I could be imagining it (they both use similar ICEpower systems). The EBS also has more EQ options, such as a HPF and contour switch. But they both sound great! Which would you keep?
