1. Looks nice but a bit of information would help your case I would think.
2. Have a bump from Carluke up the road. That's a really nice one!
3. All being well should be gone soon bump...
4. An interesting threesome-esque deal brewing... but, it aint sold 'till it's sold, so.... Bump!
5.
Hmmmmmm. I really want purpleblobs fretless, and he wants my bongo... she is my main squeeze at the moment though and funds are low, but getting there. There must be a way........
I'm listening........ I've had a few offers for the Fretless but most no use to me. I'm perfectly happy to do some weird deal The answer is simple.... munkonthehill - if you are willing to sell for cash money let me know a price, roonjuice - make me an offer for the Precision. We could all have a deal worked out by the end of the day and roonjuice's Bongo is safe
6. There's a thought - I've got a slightly tatty but very light MIJ P-bass that would do. Half an hour with a chisel will install a J pickup!
7. PM'd Failing that have a bump
8. ...a thinking-about-going-for-lunch bump!
9. Oh well, go on then. Bump. Somebody, somewhere in the world....... I've had several interesting offers (thank you) but it turns out that I'm just fussy
10.
You have no idea how much I would love this bass. Unfortunately, I have nothing worth trading, and I don't have any money. Bump Truckstop
Wife? Daughter? Car? House? No worries.
11. Saturday morning bump of doom...
12. I'll have it. I'm sending you a cheque for £1,000 over the asking price. Please send my Western Union to my shipping agent.... etc etc
13. If he'd wanted to swap it for a fretless Precision we could have avoided all this nonsense
14.
This is the best bass I've ever played!! Custom built for me by the best luthier in the world. Plays like butter, amazing fret work. The tone has that lovely lager and lime sound and the lows register on the Richter scale! Balances beautifully, very slim supersonically fast neck. Beautiful burl ives top and you can see jesus's face in the wood pattern! (just near the mid sweep knob). This cost £3,750. Trade for a pre CBS Fender Jazz, preferably two tone burst with maple board. Will also consider Foderas, Mayones, or Fender Bass VI. WHY. Pics won't do this bass justice but I will get Henri to take some later.
You're building up the hype, then!!
15. bumping due to coming to the realisation that I would happily take a 5 string of the right thing. Getting pessimistic again though
16. How much does it weigh?
17. Am I correct in thinking this is the one with the Bartolini pickups and pre the East electronics?
18.
hi thanks for the interest but i'm no looking for a fretless good luck with your trade though
If you don't ask..... Good luck too
19. I am looking for a trade for a 70s Precision Fretless (in this forum) at the moment if that's of any interest.
20. Does anybody want to take a stab at what replacing the Wal pickup would cost? Presumably the electronics have been changed too?
21.
thepurpleblob Sorry Paul did not say, as he was busy at time i rang, he said i could leave it with him and he would sort it out. regards Trev I will put some more photos on soon.. can you pm me details of stingray?
Oh noes... I love that Ray but a Wal is Wal... you wouldn't be more interested in a 5 string would you??
22.
I have my WAL pro bass, in black i think 81 (from wal database) serial no, pb1692 great bass not a mark on the rosewood board, frets all good, some cracking in paint on back of body only see at angle, not to front. the only downside to bass is someone at one time changed the pick ups, (i dont know why) well i surpose they wanted active it was the 80,s, I think they are emg,s in , look good done well but ,i was going to put wal pick up back in, spoke to Paul he said he could replace with wal not a problem. but i already have a mk2 wal , and got a gas for a musicman stingray 4 single pick up. looking for £1000 comes with hardcase not a wal case.
Ooh... I just happen to have a black and maple stingray Did Paul say how much replacing the pickup would cost?
23.
Think the guy should be cut some slack. Noone is forcing anyone to buy this bass! Here is his feedback thread and it looks pretty positive to me http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry589708 Edit: too slow
I don't think anybody isn't - I was thinking that was a serious amount for a USA Precision but I forgot about those reissues. As I have said before you are more than welcome to ask whatever you like and not get slagged for it. I don't doubt there are some Lemmy obsessives out there and this could be just the ticket. I just was curious about the background. Good luck with the sale and all that.
24. I'm wondering - seeing how this was a charity gig - was this part of the charity thing. Not that it's really my business, but I wonder how it got from the charity to the OP. Did Lemmy sign it to be auctioned off for the charity or something?
