  1. One for and one against the EHX...😆 I'm getting the feeling I need to look elsewhere...it may be my prejudice but I've always fought shy of EHX in the past, and the above doesn't inspire me taking the leap...think I may be back to 3 separate pedals?
  2. Putting on one side the relative differential in pricing of these two pedals, does anyone have a view on their performance and have any of you personal experience of either (or both!) I'm after a Comp/Eq/Dirt combo, and I'm struggling with choosing individual pedals, and like the idea of these 'all in one" solutions. My requirements are to fatten the sound and increase sustain with just a bit of fuzz breakup, and have control over eq. I also want to deliver out into a DOD Meatbox octave/synth, then into a chorus, before hitting the amp. Amp is a Laney Nexus SLS. Basses are Cort Elrick NJS5 and Schecter P4 Exotic (both active) I have also routed a delay and reverb (with HP Filter) through the amp fx loop as well, but they only get used occasionally. I have to say I like the spec of the battalion, particularly its ability to switch the eq post/pre/parallel to distortion, but the lure of a 'boutique' option is strong! The compressor/limiter on the Analog Alien looks more controllable (3 knobs as opposed to 1 on the Battalion) I'm open to ideas and your suggested alternatives. I play finger and pick, I don't slap. Cheers The disgrace of bass (still!)
  3. I'm open to reasonable offers...😁
  4. Boss Waza Air Bass practice headphone system. Totally amazing sound quality and really does sound 'in the room'. Synch with phone App via Bluetooth MIDI and you can manipulate to your hearts content. Metronome and drum machine feature to practice along to - stream backing tracks from your phone or laptop via bluetooth audio....it really is brilliant - BUT I've got my eyes on a new amp and something needs to help fund that! Only used a few times and boxed like new. £250 to include insured Royal Mail Special Delivery to UK mainland addresses
  5. Bought on a whim as a treat to myself...and sat in the case since! - as new and representing a 25% saving on a new one. I'll even throw in the Stagg hard case and Souldier leather strap (which really compliments this beautiful finish). Tech specs here - https://www.fender.com/en-GB/electric-series/player-plus/player-plus-basses/player-plus-jazz-bass/0147372370.html Feel free to ask questions - can discuss delivery or meeting halfway if that helps. £750.
  6. Hi, how much for M300 for cash, collected?
  7. On Hold pending an audition tomorrow!
  8. I’m amazed this is still here...
  9. Come on folks, this is a steal - and at a reduced price of £180 laughably cheap. I know it says Squier on the headstock but don’t be put off - it really is a great bass! Make a (sensible) offer - it has to move!
  10. Now on evilbay but best VFM on here!
  11. It might sound cliche, but definitely Bob Dylan. Bass players - Ray Brown, Jaco Pastorius, Suzi Quatro, Chris Squire, John Entwhistle ( hence the avatar) and my first bass teacher, Sam Walker of JoanOvArc (www.joanovarc.co.uk), who like a modern day Quatro, is a damn fine bassist and lead singer! All of whom are inspirational, but none of whom I can ever hope to equal (or even get close).
  12. NOW SOLD Unique and very well made and very playable Squier signature bass. (Gary Jarman - The Cribs...yeah, I hadn't either!) An interesting mix of Bass V body, telecaster bass neck, and P-Bass pickups, all in a rather attractive finish. Plays well, and recently strung with new set of Bass Centre Elites. You must try it out! Virtually mark free with only the tiniest of blemishes on the paint that you really have to look for (darned hard to photograph).
  13. The smallest yet ballsiest bass head ever! Bought on impulse, and like it, but need the money! Boxed as new, will supply with original receipts for warranty. £30 off the new price and 11 months warranty still outstanding.
  14. Unpretentiousness...best word to describe this great little amp. Ideal for the practice room, which was our use for it. Active and Passive input, Gain, Pre-shape, Low boost, 7 band EQ, High boost, Line in & out, headphones jack and DI. And £30 collected so the price of 8 poncy Starbucks lattes! All working, missing knob for pre-shape, but control still working. Heavy, but not murderously so. 80 Watts, 15” speaker. Can go loud and give some welly when required.
  15. It’s a heavy beast...I’d be reluctant because to properly pack and insure it would cost a small fortune. I’ ll look into costs of couriers for you. What is your address? Send it to me via PM and I should be able to get a price together.
  16. All I can hear right now is ‘Devil Gate Drive’!
  17. Does the Precision come with a leather waistcoat, leather trousers and tousled wig? Because that's a dead ringer for one of Suzi Quatro's instruments...😁
  18. A beautiful, minty example of this amazing amp. I only bought it a few months back via this site from Charic - it is genuinely all you want in gigging amp - power, versatility and masses of headroom. NOW SOLD
  19. I second the positive review of PMT! My local store (Romford) is equally full of great guys and girls who are enthusiastic and cant do enough for you.
