Got these on a US AV 62 Jazz that I bought from Beester recently. He literally bought them (for £45), put them on the Jazz and then sold the bass to me. I gave him £30 towards them on top of the price of the bass. They're too heavy gauge for me, and so I've put on my usual TI flats. Hence, these are up for grabs. I reckon they've had only a couple of hours play in total. They're currently packed away in the original La Bella wrapper. Current retail looks to be around the £45 mark, so how does £25 posted sound? Mark.

Has anyone got a Fender Bassman head near Glasgow?
tredders replied to magee's topic in Amps and Cabs
Tredders - he did say there were two or threre people down south wanted to buy it but that it was still for sale and he was trying to sell it locally if at all possible to avoid having to pack it, I hope you don't feel that my considering it is treading on your toes.
Not at all. The way I've left it with the seller is that he's going to get a delivery cost for me. If he's happy to package it all up, and the courier cost isn't too extortionate, then I'll have it. If someone is local and able to collect it, it's going to be much less hassle for him, so I guess it's a case of keeping my fingers crossed -
Bite his hand off. The 135 is a monster; much deeper and louder than the 100.
I'm in talks with the seller about getting it packaged up and shipped to my place -
Fender bassman/cab - Glasgow Gumtree

I've just sent the seller an email to see if he'll post it... -
Just bought a beautiful Shuker 51 P bass from John. The whole deal, from start to finish, couldn't have gone any smoother. John went out of his way to make things easy for me - even meeting me close to home to save the hassle of posting. Great bass, top man, and the perfect deal - can't ask for any more than that. Thanks mate Mark.

You'd think I'd know how to use the search function on the forum by now, wouldn't you? And where did I put that hilarious "drummer at the wrong gig" video clip?

Fender bassman/cab - Glasgow Gumtree

I'd snap that up if it was within driving distance of me. Always wanted a Bassman with matching cab. -
has anyone got a really traditional fendery looking Shuker?
P bass with a custom Jazz neck, Delano pickups and a P Retro. It's awesome!

These are excellent - I picked one up from Birmingham airport last week to chuck in my laptop bag for when I'm on my travels. Connects to my laptop (for movies), & iPhone (for music). Also comes with the leads to hardwire into an audio device which doesn't have bluetooth. Stupidly good sound quality for such a tiny box, and has 8-10 hour charge from the (rechargeable) battery.

I put a Wlkinson vintage bridge on mine. Looks the part and works well: - http://www.allparts.uk.com/online-shop/guitar-bass-parts/bridges-parts-tailpieces/bridges/bass-bridges/bass-bridges-4-string-singles/wilkinson-vintage-bass-bridge-loads-through-body-p-1722.html The Fender bridge cover fits fine over this bridge, too. Well, I didn't see a feedback thread for Neil, so thought I'd start one. I traded my little Marshall practice combo for some cash and a Levys strap, and it all went nice and smoothly. Cash was paid instantly, and the strap followed quickly. Deal with confidence. Cheers Mark.

I've looked at these in the past, especially after watching Ed's review. Steve - have you found a source in the UK, or are you looking at ordering direct? Cheers Mark.

Bought Al's Polytune pedal from him. Good price, it arrived the next day, and it even had velcro on the bottom, which saved me a job! Good guy to deal with - highly recommended.
I've just ordered a couple of Dave's Speakon cables after seeing this thread - thanks for the heads-up.
Brilliant service! As above, I ordered a couple of speakon cables yesterday, and the postie delivered them an hour ago... They're great quality (absolutely no difference in either build or sound quality to my ears when compared to a stupidly expensive Phil Jones speakon cable I already had), and were £14 each. I know where I'll be going for cables in the future then... Mark.

Ian (Fitz) only recently joined BassChat, and today he bought my Phil Jones rig from me, so I thought I'd start a feedback thread for him. He's a good guy! We exchanged lots of messages about the rig, and he came over to my office in Solihull to do the deal. Had a natter about music, guitars, amps and the world in general, and he paid me in cash and took the rig away. Doesn't get any better than that - Perfect easy sale. Deal with confidence - he's a good guy. Thanks Ian, and enjoy the rig, Mark.

This is now sold - thanks for all the interest. I've been having a change around recently, and have finally settled on the Orange rig I recently bought from here. Consequently, my recently acquired Phil Jones rig is now up for sale (or trade). It comprises of a Suitcase and matching 4B cab. The combo has a soft cover. This is the cleanest sounding, most transparent amp I've ever played through - you really can hear the difference in sound between basses through this. It's incredibly well made, very high end (I believe Bob Babbitt, Pino and Nathan East are all Phil Jones users), and pretty pricey, too. It's also stupidly loud - the combo alone comfortably kept up with a heavy handed drummer and loud guitarist at a recent rehearsal. When I hooked up the cab too, I was blown away with the sound - not just the volume, but also the clarity. Specs as follows (Suitcase combo first): - 2 channel 300 W amp (180W into internal speakers) 4 x high power 5” drivers in computer designed 8Ω enclosure Each input features; Active/Passive input 5 band eq (50Hz/160Hz/630Hz, 2.5kHz/12kHz) Optical compressor/limiter (switchable/adjustable) Headphone out Balanced line out XLR DIi) Effects return Dimensions; 16.5 H x 13.5 W x 17.5 D Weight - 49lb/19kgs Specs for the 4B cab: - 300W power handling 8Ω 4 x high power 5” drivers Frequency response 50Hhz - 10kHz Weight - 12kgs Size - 16.5 H x 13.5 W x 17.5 D The dual channel amp is very useful - you can have a completely separate eq / input / volume for (for example) an acoustic bass, and an electric. Or a passive and an active, and just leave them plugged in and ready to go. The form factor is also great, as the rig will comfortably fit on the back seats or a car, or in the boot. A few pics I just took are below. The '73 P bass is not included in the sale Phil Jones product page is here: http://www.philjones.../products/?id=9, and details of the cab here: http://www.philjones...products/?id=21 BassDirect has the same rig on special offer for £1200 (see here: http://www.bassdirec...B_Suitcase.html). I'm looking for £650 collected from j.12 M40 (between Leamington & Banbury) or from my office in Solihull, or £700 posted (it'll take some packing and 2 courier parcels to ship). From a trade point of view, I'm not really looking for anything specific, but the following could tempt me: - Gibson Thunderbird Ric 4001/4003 Fender Telecaster bass (later mudbucker version) Nice P bass Nice semi-acoustic bass But try me with other stuff too. I'm more into traditional type basses, so nothing pointy! And 4 string only, thanks. Any questions, just ask. Cheers Mark.

I traded my Tecamp combo for Jesso's Orange Terror Bass and two Aguilar GS112's, and it couldn't have gone any smoother. Lots of friendly messages, everything was packed really well, and he used an excellent courier to get the stuff to me. I couldn't be happier with the trade, and would happily trade with Jesso any time in the future. Cheers mate! Mark.
