1. If you can stretch £50, there's this... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/189392-genz-benz-2x10-comb-trade-options-or-l450-ono-dorset/
 2.
But if the buyer is not implicated in any 'wrecking' then it's hardly fair to land him with the loss is it?
That's true & so is Billy's. Hence why I said get in touch with both parties to find out where the damage has occurred. If both deny, then I would say that the new owner should be chasing the courier. If you have legal cover (through an account or insurance), then try that for advice.
 3. If the bass is wrecked, I wouldn't want it back unless I took the repair costs out of the refund.
 4. & how small is "small"? Is a 2x10 combo too big?
 5. I had to complain about my neighbour banging away at 2am! it was interfering with my band practice. On a serious note, it's the same as Lozz for me. I keep to sensible times & I played at a fairly loud volume this morning (@ 11;30 am) with no complaints. Neighbours are usually at work, but I let them know if they're not, just let me know.
 6. Well as you have proof, I'd be checking with the courier company & also asking the buyer if the packaging was damaged. As you have video proof, I would ask for evidence of what condition the bass is in & also of the problems. I wouldn't blame him or the courier until you have proof of whom is telling the truth.
 7. Yet they've written it twice on the tweeter switch. Maybe they're trying to say "Play dub, reggae & mowtown forever"?
 8.
If that head was detachable then the cables for power, DI and ext cab would be linked on the top plate... a bit akward looking...
That is a very good point & one that I'd completely overlooked!
 9. I wonder if removing the 4 screws at the top would allow it to tilt outwards & then be lifted up?
 10.
Isn't the end of the first paragraph rather misleading then? http://www.ibanez.co...ics/model-P3110 - states "Plus, the fire-red amp head can be easily detached without any tools" - also it says it is a "300W combo". Thomann claim that the combo is 4ohms and the speaker out is 4ohms also. Surely that's dangerous misadvice if wrong? http://www.thomann.d...banez_p3110.htm So the question is: who's telling porkie pies?
On both Thomann & Ibanez websites it says 300w @4 ohm. In the actual manual for it on Ibanez's website, it states that it is 300w @ 4ohm & that the combo is 8 ohm with the option of plugging in another 8 ohm cab. It also has at the start that you cannot use a 4 & 8 ohm cab with the head. So they're both massaging the figures (Thomann just copied & pasted).
 11.
Less watts yes, but 50W more in the combo than last time (old one was 250W because of 8 ohm speaker in the combo, 500W with 4 ohm cab).
I don't think you're right. The old one was a 500w head (so @ 300 - 350w or so at 8Ω). The stats are VERY misleading on the new one as it says it's a 300w combo at 4Ω, yet it has an extension socket that says 8Ω? Just had a quick look on Ibby's web & the manual says that the combo is 150w @ 8Ω.
 12. As I have the morning off, I decided to amend my entry. When I was listening to it, I didn't like the way the 2nd bassline sat (the one after the intro) & I could hear a little extra too. So here's the same song, amended... http://soundcloud.com/xgsjx/novembers-dirt
 13.
Ok, here's my effort this month: http://soundcloud.com/skollob/ruckus WARNING: this song contains strong language (specifically one s*** and three mother******s). Not safe for work, at home with the family or in the car with grandma. With that disclaimer out of the way… this is my first punk/metal track in nearly 20 years. I'm used to working with fast and energetic genres like drum'n'bass, so it was sort of familiar in that respect but very different in others. I certainly had a bunch of fun making it. And for the record, if anybody else can think of word that rhymes with "ruckus", other than "suckers" and the word I ended up with, then you win my admiration and would make a formidable Scrabble opponent. PS: contains samples sourced under Creative Commons license from www.freesound.org
Not fair! You can sing. I like it too!
 14.
My iphone autocorrects Xmas to Xmax...
Well in a couple of months you can wish us all a Merry Xmax, sss.
Am I the only person who saw this topic title and throught: "So here it is, Merry Xmax, everybody's having fun"?
Cheers HJ, I've now got Xmax songs going through my head!
 15. I suppose you could always get a 2nd 121 if you needed to & still have a small footprint with a big sound. There's a few folk on here use the 2x10 traveller, but I don't believe it has the low end of the standard 2x10 (kinda obvious i suppose). So if you don't need the lows, there's a cab that's barely wider than the LMII.
 16. Lozz, you should have a try on the 2x10 hf, see if it suits you. Still not as light as the NY121 though.
 17. See! OHM appeals to all age groups.
 18.
Huh? Marshall? It sounds lovely, and is perfect for my needs (however, the popping is getting RIGHT on my tits!)
Sorry buddy, just my sense of humour. Marshall are more known as a guitar rig maker & not so revered in the bass world. Saying that though, the DBS range do get a good review & was one of the amps I looked at when shopping. IMO the cab you have is not the best of designs, but if it gives you the sound you want, then that's what matters.
 19.
She's under 25 I'm turning 26 this weekend so your old enough to be my dad too
You're lucky I've not been to Cambridge, though I'd have been 15 (man, it passes soo quick!!!).
 20.
That been the case I would still like to know how to get the best out of it. Any advice?
Sell it to a 3rd knob.
 21.
Club 29 Sunday afternoons 2 till 5 Glasgow . Streamliner 900 + Prefaced midget t
Doncha love auto correct! Lol
 22.
Well seing as he's into prodigy and (I think they're called) orbital... it might be
Come to think of it, I'm probably old enough (in theory, of course) to be your girl's dad (legally, if she's under 25) & as I grew up listening to stuff from Thrash Metal & Hard Rock to Jungle, Hardcore & Breakbeat & love This kind of stuff (us old farts ain't into sedated elevator music anymore!).
 23. Is the next single gonna be called "Dad's Dubstep"? Been listening to the album on bandcamp. It's awesome! Brilliant video too. I'd be well proud too.
 24. Have you tried an envelope filter (on auto) on the bass & maybe even a little dirt (just a tad)? Good song, I likes!
