Mine has an extra hole in it though. Got sound leaking out of it.

I think if you were to stand on that, you’d get some bite. 😂

I really like it. It just polishes whatever you put into it. Sound quality is like playing through a good desk.

I think my board is done for now, though I may change the filter at some point. I’ve yet to find a sound I really like from the Pearl White, but then I’ve not really played with it yet. the 2 Demon FX pedals still need some Velcro too.

Been without an octave pedal for a few years now & was thinking I should get one. This popped up on Facebook today for £30, so I jumped up on it. Gave it a quick test & it works as it should.

A Rise & a laptop will give you all the sounds you need & loads of expression too. I use one of these to great effect. https://reverb.com/uk/p/roli-seaboard-rise-25

If you’re wanting to recreate 80s synth bass sounds, I’m gonna suggest getting a Roland Cloud Pro subscription, an audio interface & a midi keyboard to plug into your laptop. I did a lot of synth bass with pedals (& still do some), but synths do a far better job.

The MF-101 is the only pedal I really regret selling.

I’ve notvowned one, but what about an SGT-DI throught a powered cab?

Just had a listen through this month’s selection. Top notch indeed. I thought I had a good track too, but these are fantastic! gonna have to have another couple of listens before choosing. Tough choices indeed. 😎

One thing no one has mentioned that I like about Apple Music… When you bounce a song down in Logic, there’s a tick box to add it to Music. This not only sticks it on the Mac I’m working on, but also my other Apple devices with Music on them, such as my phone. This allows me to then play it anywhere…. In the car, in my earbuds, over a wireless speaker & so on. Perfect for seeing how your song sounds on other systems. Could never get on with spottythigh.

Genz Benz is the only one I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned & no longer on the go.

Don’t mind me, m just going to suggest looking at FRFR too. Get a good active PA cab & choose your fave preamp pedal & that’s you. 🙂

The city is calling me deep into it. A city of beautiful places & faces, I'm always thinking of you. I had fun doing this one. Most parts are played on the Jupiter X, with the exception of the drums being NI Battery4, the ambient intro sound being NI Massive X & the leaky piano being NI Massive. Vocals are your's truly making use of the fantastic vocal designer in the Jupiter X. I've done some slight tweaks that I felt it needed. Enjoy. 😎

Wow! Thanks all. That was really unexpected. I'll get something over to Dad later today.

Thanks for this. I bet it agrees with this helpful chart I made a few years ago.- 4 replies

Okay, I'm in this month! Drums played by my electronica band's drummer. Bass played on the Roli Rise. Other parts using a mix of softsynths. I really wanted to use my Jupiter for some of this & if I get time, I'll use it for a vocoder part.

Playing gigs sitting down. Pop/funk covers band. Acceptable?
xgsjx replied to solo4652's topic in General Discussion
I play electronica sitting down. I play a mix of bass & synths, so it’s a stool that I use. If I only played bass, I’d get a chaise longue. Here’s some inspiration for you. -
Playing about with pedal order is 1/2 the fun of having pedals. Do you want to make the chorus dirty or do you want to modulate the distortion? 😂

Just starting a new 3 piece band. Tonight me & the drummer got together to jam out some ideas & go over our setup. Next one will include the singer/guitarist. Here’s my setup.

I’ve really enjoyed listening to Fink since discovering “Sunday Night Blues Club Vol 1” back in 2017. He’s just released 2 covers, one of Soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun & this…

I’ve currently got just one bass, an Ibanez SR1000 that I bought new in 1990. Other basses have came & went, but this one has always been my “go to”. It’s undergone a number of changes to the hardware & electronics & even been completely stripped down & rebuilt. So just the one bass for me.

Don’t let driver size put you off. Have a look at PJB combos & also the smaller Markbass combos. Though for in the house, I use my preamp into my studio monitors & for gigs it’s my preamp into a PA cab.
