  1. Strung Out Guitars in Glasgow has had £30k of instruments stolen. Hopefully there’s details of what was stolen soon & hoping they get it all back. https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/news/glasgow-news/guitars-value-30000-stolen-glasgow-19450474?fbclid=IwAR0FXyTTrdYjuFZdp2RcqwDw37TsBkGbA4qxxbgFoQLTmH5iIxb5XQUjCFI
  2. Here comes the rain again. [Eurythmics]
  3. Surprise! You’re dead. (Faith No More)
  4. I wouldn't get excited about mine, it's pretty much dog poo. 💩
  5. Sitting waiting on reports running, so I've made a start... It's a sunny winter hiloday for the mut. Meet some other doggies along the way.
  6. We have a “creative team” WhatsApp, but there’s never been any mentions on the sound other than how awesome it sounds (& I thought I was the deaf one). I’ve only been in the team for a few years, so I’m not gonna do the worship pastor’s job.
  7. It’s our sound that's not very good too. Last sesh I did, the bass & vocals dominated everything (makes a change, as normally it’s the pads that are waaaay too loud). Thing is though, the guys on the desk have done soundy courses & are great guys, so I don’t have the heart to go & say it sounds guff. They’re probably aware (though is sounded hit & miss before lockdown).
  8. Might be my phone then. It’s been doing it since the thread started.
  9. Anyone else having trouble visiting the voting thread? The loading bar gets 1/2 way along & only shows the first post, resets & repeats a few times & the goes to an error.
  10. I’ll give those two a listen. I agree that we’re there to serve & support the congregation in worship, but we’re meant to make a joyful noise to the Lord, not a lame one. I’ve seen that video a few times & I’d much prefer to be worshiping with that jam behind the vocals than the actual song. 😎
  11. Amen to that. Worship team politics & restrictions can put many good players off. I took my Seaboard along a few times last year to add some synth bass. In not so many words, I was asked not to keep bringing it, so I don’t. I don’t listen to much of the stuff played in our church outside of church (mostly Hillsong & Bethel stuff). I do like Elevation’s Paradoxology album though, but again, it could have been better.
  12. I’ve recorded a few sessions with my church since lockdown. Usually we record 3 sets of 4 songs (1 set per week) & as there’s quite a few musicians it means I won’t be on YouTube every week. For the last lot, I had a quick squiz at the songs, saw that they all followed a mix of 1, 4, 5, & 6 and didn’t really do much to differentiate from each other, so I gave them 1 run through the night before & that was it. Why is the majority of white worship music so uninspiring? There’s musicians in our church who have been playing for years & only know the basics because they only listen to CCW. Had CCW taken some pointers from gospel, then they’d likely know a good deal more.
  13. DHL Customer Service can't be as bad as Hermes? If something happens, there's NO contact info for any sort of customer service with them. The seller has to sort it all out. When I lived in Perth, Yodel seemed to be the better of them all. Parcefarce were pretty crap too. Best of luck with getting the bass.
  14. I got a little time today, so I've added some bass playing.
  15. Got mine done. I'd have loved time to lay a bit of bass, but just too busy. If I get time before the deadline, I shall update it. But for now, Enjoy. I've tried to create what I picture being played. Logic supplied a great alien vocal for it too.
