1. My Mrs calls the whammy bar (or tremolo arm) a "Wahwah Lever".
2. Depending on how they tune the cabs, it may or may not have more bass. You'd need to A/B them. Don't worry about the watts. 2 8 ohm cabs will get about 118 watts each (that's if the amp puts out 236w @ 4ohms & the TC cabs are 8 ohm, but there's another debate about that elsewhere & kinda points to watts DON'T mean volume as the TC amps are loud).
3. I'd suggest pairing another 2x10 to your 2x10. 12,s don't have any more bass unless they use a bigger cab (& then it's down to cab design) & then you have the risk of losing certain frequenciesfrom your sound when you mix driver sizes.
4. I'd perservere with the moog. I wasn't overly impressed with mine when I first got it, but as I got to use it more I discovered more & more possibilities with it. The settings I started with on everything (bass, amp & other fx) was very different from what I use now & wouldn't be without either of my moog pedals (I want more, but funds won't allow just now ).
5. Here maybe?
6. This ticks every box for me! Though this is up there too...
7.
PMSL You could throw up on that and not notice
And that's on either!
8. Does that amp not chuck out 236w at 4 ohms On a serious note, use your ears & if it sounds bad, turn it back a bit or lose a touch of bass off it. I use a Markbass 2x10 combo & haven't had any troubles being heard. Edited to say, I doubt you'll need to crank it up full.
9. A couple of us had considered holding a bash in Central(ish) Scotland last year, like Falkirk, Stirling or Perth. But I think everyone was too busy. I was gonna try & organise something, but I got too busy with work & personal life. Never been able to make the Moffat bash (though I'd love to go sometime).
10. 2 expression pedals would be ideal for that sound. 1 into the cutoff & 1 into the resonance. Try the res at @ 6-7 & EP2 into cutoff & a good fuzz on your bass.
11.
Great minds think alike!!!
Indeeed. I find myself switching between 2 & 4 pole, depending on what sounds I'm wanting. Another thing I found can work quite well (again depending on song), is putting the EP2 into the amount. It still allows you to do swells, but gives you wah.
12. & whilst I mind, put your 101 after the 506. I've been thinking about doing a video review of some settings, so maybe soon .
13. Turn the cutoff to about 9 o'clock (or just above) & put it on 2 pole to start with. I have the res at @ 4, but if you want a bassier sound, take it down (between 0 & 2 has tonnes of bass! ). Amount should be at 0 & the Mix at 10. I notice Shep's on here too, let's see how our settings compare.
14. Does look similar to the Hamer Impact & Velocity, but the horns are different (less bent).
15. Could be a Charvel? Or maybe not
16. If you go to Bjork's old website there's a full album of Army of Me covers! Here
17. I'd see if you can get a decent try of either (even if it's for a rehearsal) & see what you prefer. Other option is to buy one & if you don't like it, sell it on here & get the other (the LMII might be the best route to choose first if you do, as you can easily sell for what you'd pay). I like the LMII a lot, but I've never used or tried any TCE stuff.
18. I've just watched that video! I bet the 2 blokes standing playing bits of wood & gabbering gibberish would love to deny the existence of this clip! Sime17, your country is not alone. Us up here have a made up language for winding up tourists (& English types). I believe Ireland, Yorkshire & Cornwall have similar gobildygook too (although I'm led to believe Yorkies & Cornettos try to speak it to one another too). Back on topic, that is a pretty good bassline.
19. Most of Medulla is just human voice. I like Triumph of the Heart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvgVsxaqYgA&feature=related
20. I saw her in Vegas about 3-4 years ago & was outstanding. I've been trying to find out what the round light up table was with the accoutriments was that they used for Desired Constellation. Any ideas?
21. I've got the app for it on my iPhone & can download tracks, but haven't as yet. I might just do that tonight.
22. Is it an Aria? or maybe a Westone???
23. I'll get a listen to this version after work. She does have one of those voices you either love or hate. Post is a brilliant album (which this is from). My fave bassline to play on it is Army Of Me. It's a bit of a workout (not hard, just tough on my hand position). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3biZkA-TNvs The notes are Bb, C, Bb, Ab, G, Bb, C.
24. Brilliant bit of programmed beats, especially the breaks in the last 40 or so seconds! The vocals are ok, but could be better (sounds a bit like Lo Fidelity Allstars with them).
