1. Sweet. I'm glad you're keeping the Black & Orange.
2. Just checking out the mobile version. It's easier to navigate on iPhone.
3. I've been away from the house all day in an area where I get no internet or phone signal on my phone, get back in & turn on the Mac to find this. & a pleasant surprise it is too. Never been on Facebook for yonks, so never got any idea that this was going ahead either!
4. Looks very fresh & sharp I felt very much at home on the old one though, but given time I'm sure it'll be the same here. Is there still a comfy sofa & popcorn machine in the OT?

Moog Pedals...

It does seem very lazy of the "synth" industry to appear to not have progressed much past MIDI. There is a lot that use USB or Firewire, but all that appears to get sent down it is MIDI information. I suppose the question is, is there a need for any more than MIDI? What else could be done? MIDI can control all the parameters that you need it to & all you need for more channels is a MIDI expander (a rare thing nowadays!).

Moog Pedals...

Definitely worth keeping an eye on the Moog website over the next couple of months. I googled MP-102 & it fetched back MP201 & MF102, so no news on web yet.

Moog Pedals...

I saw on moog's website that they're now discontinued. I wonder why?
8.
A very long time ago I experimented with two amps/biamping etc. I discovered a world of earth loop hums and odd phase cancellation effects (that made you inaudible in one part of the room but deafening elsewhere), and I quickly decided it was better just to get one big amp.
You needed a Bass Murf so you could have some stereo fun!
9. I would have thought the 2x10 wouldn't have a much bigger footprint than the 1x10, just higher?
10. I went into my local Majestic & vintage is anything pre 2010. Here's a thought if vintage is over 25 years, in @ 2 1/2 years my Ibanez SR1000 which I bought new will be vintage! Hooda thortit?
11. A Barefaced Midget might be calling you.
12. I think either way would be just as loud as they're gonna move just as much air. I'd love to do the stereo thing though! The Bass Murf has had me wanting to for many yonks. edit to say I've seriously considered getting another 102P combo to do such a thing, but funds won't allow just now (& there's one for sale for £550 too!!!).
13.
And reverse polarity!
Forgot about that bit I have a reverse polarity cable on the daisychain for the Murf as the other 2 pedals in the chain are - tip. All run from a Godlyke Powerall.
14. I haven't really paid much attention to him before, but I wish my terrible playing was as bad as his!
15. I might just go & see what forums I can find, if I can get away from BC for 5 mins! I've got a couple of harddrives from old PCs with sounds, loops & good ideas with great intentions sitting in a box along with some sample CDs that I've been threatening to stick on my mac for the past 3 1/2 years. The Mrs keeps saying "I'll get you a drive caddy from work", but never has (& probably a good thing!).
16. I take it the 6Ω cab is either a 3x10 or a 6x10? A 6x10 running at 6Ω should be louder than a 4Ω 4x10 as it's moving more air (how many watts the cab gets from your amp wont make a noticeable difference). If you're like me & rarely put your bass through the PA (too small a PA for everything really), then your best option is having all your drivers vertical, such as 2 15"s or 2 2x10"s stacked on end. This way your sound will spread across your audience better.
17. Believe it or not, the Bass Murf is happy to run off a daisychain & has no noise at all! I was hugely surprised. It does need to draw 300mA though.
18. How about a Ritter, or are they out of the price range?
19. If you oil & wax the body you do not need to laquer it, just wax it every year or so, as and when needed. If you want to paint or varnish it later you could try sanding it down & rubbing it with something like turps (google has ideas on how to do this), or you could sand off the wax coating & paint/varnish with a linseed based paint/varnish. My original plan was going to be to paint the body & maybe leave a little wood if any was nice enough, but after sanding down what was below the crusty black stuff, I saw sense.
20. I got one made for my Markbass combo just over 3 years ago & was one of the best services I'd ever had. The chap called me & asked what colour piping I wanted & let me know it would be a little longer than normal as it was the 1st one they'd made for this combo. Fits perfect too! & the wait time was less than what I would have expected from anywhere else with one in stock.
21. Your bass might be a tool, but mine's brilliant!
22. I'm surprised no one here snapped this up. I'd want well more than what you wanted for mine if I ever sold it. Someone got a bargain!
23. I stripped my bass of paint & finished it with Danish oil & Beeswax. Depending on how much you polish it will depend on how shiney it is. I went for the satin finish. 24. Hmm, tricky one. I like bass (& bass guitar, but that's in a different topic), but I'm not too sure about this music malarky. I like making noises & deep rumbles though! Does that count as music?
