If using A for audience & B for monitors then it's an obvious choice to have everything panned either centre or towards A. If my band are using monitors then it's either a small 2nd pa system (a small power amp & 2 10" tops) or an active wedge that's hooked up to the main desk (it's only a 16 ch Yamaha mixer, nothing big). We usually pan the drums around a bit & have a little spread on the rest of the band (no, not primula!).

I'm using a Boss CE-2 that I borrowed off a mate & does a nice job. Probably @ £50 s/h but I'll sell you it for £150 posted if you like?

How much is your budget? A Markbass combo could easily replace both the combos that you have & pop up now & again s/h for @ £6-700.

Bill Withers & co have the right idea. I prefer to sit during a gig (I'd sit in the audience if I could!). I don't do much running around on stage anymore.

Chorus doesn't have to sound 80s. I either have the speed just about right down or right up depending on the type of sound I want (right up with some distortion is good for dance/DnB/Dubstep IMO). I'm not a fan of the 80s chorus sound.

You shoulda kept hold of the CMD & added the 4x10 to it (or a 2x10) to see how that compared.

I agree with TNIT, Octave or Chorus. I use a chorus to thicken up my sound (does a good job too).

I'm toying with a few ideas & there'll definitely be a good bit of wood visible. My ideas involve either some silver leaf or aluminium paint directly on part of the wood so you can still see the grain & finishing the whole body in a satin lacquer, or maybe something different? A play around with Photoshop is in order before deciding.

& now I've sanded it down ready for messing it up! More later!!!

I've started! I've stripped the paint off it. Started by chipping flakes away & then got the blowtorch out & voala! I'm making a Steinberger Spirit with a head!!!!! Here's the first couple of pics taken with my phone... Stripped & ready for stripping (I'd already chipped away at some pait round the edge) Stick it in a vice & get the blowtorch & paint stripper into action All the poly gone! Still a bit messy I've got more pics & I'll get em up soon.

It does seem a little strange that Bridge mode is 8 ohms & not 2 ohms.

Creative musicians. Nothing worse than trying to write a song & there's an uncreative musician just putting the same drum pattern or constant unimaginative strumming to a song. Just turns things lame. Gig's & an audience are good too tho

This ticks all my boxes!

I don't use the FX loop on my LMII as there'd be to many wires running around & the chorus (&all the other fx) sounds just fine. I had tried the FX loop & other than the ability to have the effect as layered over the original sound (so you can still hear the original bass sound, which is switchable via a jumper), there's no noticeable benefits.

Bought a set of TI flats for my Ibby last year & wish I would have done it 20 years ago.

You'd be wiser to go for 2 2x10 cabs stacked vertically or 2 1x15 cabs as mixing driver sizes isn't a good idea & the normal 4x10 isn't a good speaker layout.

I believe EBS heads also run at 2Ω. Why not sell the cabs as well (sell the lot as a full rig) & then you can get 8Ω cabs to go with whatever head you like?
