I used a Moog Exp pedal with my Moog pedals. Was pretty good. I'f I was gonna spend a bit of money & had pedals, I'd probably get a HotHand.

I'd be demanding the full cost of repair/replacement and compensation for the time that you're without the cab. What's the point in their "insurance" if they're not gonna honour it.
And a silly one that gets overlooked. If this is an "older" machine, it could be as simple as dust cat or dog hair carpet fluff etc blocking the ventilating fan outlet. Put you hand against the exhaust vent and see if there is air coming out as usual ands that it isnt scaldingly hot. Common fault on older laptops, especially Sony.
The Mrs has an HP laptop. The fan, situated at the corner clogs regularly with cat hair. The downside is to get to the fan, you have to take the whole laptop apart to get to it! You have to take the screen off too just to get the motherboard out. Proper crap design that takes ages. It's been done 3 times in the time that we've had the laptop & it now resides in a cupboard, replaced by a macbook.

From what Osiris has said, the lowest frequency dial on the RH450 is 70hz, whereas the LMII/III it is 40hz. This isn't saying that the RH450 won't reproduce 40hz frequencies, but that the LM boosts/cuts at 40hz with the knob labelled "Bass".

Could be a problem with the graphics card/chip. I'd try dannybuoy's advice first.
I take offence to "baw heedit numpty". Nice one Dave
You're not a singist, are you?

I'd never use the term to offend anyone. I'd never dream of using it to refer to someone whom has a condition or difficulty. I use the term guitard only to refer to those whom are not musically gifted & not willing to learn either. Those that just make a noise & noodle constant piffle. I'm still looking for a phrase to use to describe those baw heedit numpties who turn up for singer auditions & don't know a thing about music or able to hold a decent tune! They rip ma nitting oot!!!

If you're happy with your tuner doing splitter duties & handy with a soldering iron, why not build your own blend pedal? I used to use a Bass Murf to split the signal & built my own blender. Easy build.

I don't use the term when I refer to musicians who play guitar, such as the guitarist in my current band. But I do use the term to refer to the retarded twazzicks who turn up with a guitar & a pedal train full of nothing but dirt pedals & don't consider playing in the band, but rather as using the band as a backing track for them to make a noise. They are Guitards. I'm sure there's Basstards out there too!

Any famous guitarists good at playing bass?

Is this a mad idea? Playing house parties
xgsjx replied to redbandit599's topic in General Discussion
I've played a couple of house parties in the past. Drummer would either use the lekky kit or a cajon. A few times it was bass, guitar & mandolin. They went acoustic with me using a wee combo. Always been houses away from anywhere else. -
Form your own band and be the leader. Make sure you have a bug in the rehearsal space toilet so you can pre empt any whispered attempts to oust you, the leader. Make the other musicians sign a watertight contract agreeing the band is yours and you make all the final decisions. That should do it.
I tried that. Ended up sacking myself from the band! One thing to check... What are they expecting & can you commit & be reliable?

I had Tis on my bass for a few years & loved them. Snapped the D string! I couldn't get a single D string. Replaced them with D'addario Chromes & they're a much brighter string, but still really good. After a bit of playing, they become really comfortable.
Two 8 ohm 210's or one 4 ohm 410, perhaps? Why not buy a second 210RBH? Adding a second cab really starts pushing the bass out.
2 2x10s is a great idea.
I see these sort of posts from time-to-time and, as a postie myself, thought I would respond and, hopefully, put a few misconceptions to rest. Perhaps the biggest of these misconceptions is that sometimes the postie will not try too hard to deliver a parcel as it is “too much work/can’t be bothered/doesn’t have time/is a twat”. Let me run this past you. Actually delivering an item involves:-
Knocking on door or ringing bell

Waiting for householder to answer

Scanning item and getting signature if required

Handing item over to householder

Not delivering an item involves:-

Knocking on door or ringing bell

Waiting for householder to answer

Scanning item

Knocking on door or ringing bell

Waiting for householder to answer

Filling out P739 card

Re-scan item as “Not delivered”

Carrying said item for the rest of that particular loop or taking it back to the van

Applying “P739 left” sticker to item

Unloading item on return to office

Returning item to callers office for filing/storage
I’ll leave you to draw your own conclusions. This post had all the potential to turn into a mega-rant but hey, Guinness calls.
You sound like what a post should be. Most of the posties who deliver things to me are good, but some have been like this:
Scan item as “Not delivered”

Apply “P739 left” sticker to item

[s]Knocking on door or ringing bell[/s]

[s]Waiting for householder to answer[/s]

[s]Scanning item[/s]

[s]Knocking on door or ringing bell[/s]

[s]Waiting for householder to answer[/s]

Filling out P739 card

[s]Re-scan item as “Not delivered”[/s]

[s]Carrying said item for the rest of that particular loop or taking it back to the van[/s] it never left the van

Unloading item on return to office

Returning item to callers office for filing/storage

Got an idea in my head already!
Quite. The box ticked on the card says 'Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed', too. The postage seemed a bit steep, but I didn't seem to have the option of cheaper postage. So I paid for a service I didn't get. And had the work on the bass pushed back by the best part of a week.
You should make a complaint and demand a refund for the postage costs as they failed to deliver.

Sounds like you need to try a few different pedals to replace the Sansamp on the stuff it doesn't work on. It might take a bit of time, or you might find one straight away. For Filter/synth & was, look at a LPF with an expression pedal ( I rate the Moog MF101 highly & wish I'd never sold mine ) As for the others, there are a lot of options & it's probably hard to get a crapper these days.
-
I've got Chromes on my bass too. I use a PSK distortion set to just give a bit of drive & it sounds awesome. Add a bit of chorus during the guitar solo & it sounds MASSIVE!

Now, if your 2x10 is 4Ω, and you did rewire it to make it a 16Ω cab, that would be one of the few 4x10 & 2x10 rigs that would actually give each driver the same power! Why don't more cab builders do that?

Well pointed out Timmo. Looking at Paubass' pic, it's a very similar line. Ask UPS what should be used as packaging to protect agains forklift forks.
The GF does struggle to understand why I have 4 but she did buy me a stand with space for 5 so I do now need another one.
You could maybe fit a gu**ar in that slot?
