1. It's all about practice, practice, practice. A good teacher is a good investment, but if you don't have the money, then grab a metronome & do what ambient said. When playing at home or with the band, count the beats. If you don't know the time signature, ask someone. With worship music, a song is most likely 3/4, 4/4 or 12/8. Youtube is a good place to learn things too. And until you're ready, ask the WL to avoid songs with hard basslines such as "Salvation is here"
2. Me & the Mrs watched it whilst I took the a Xmas tree down last week. Really enjoyed it.
3. Watts make heat, not volume. You need 10 times the watts from an amp to get double the volume. So don't worry too much there. Best to try them out.
4.
The fan of a Genz Benz Streamliner is nearly noiseless...
& here's me thinking they were reliable too! Sorry, couldn't help myself.
5. What about a Carlsbro Cobra? No one likes them (no fans).
6. I'd agree with going & trying some kit out. Take your bass along too. I love the sound of my MarkBass. Only reason it's for sale is that I don't play in a band anymore. If you want a valve sound, get a preamp pedal such as a Sansamp, DHA VT or if on a budget, a Behringer BDI & put it between the bass & amp.
7. Don't know if they're out of your price range, but I've never heard the fan on a MarkBass (I even checked to see if it was working).
8. Pre NYE bump.
9. If the rocker has the same as the LMII on the back, then one's a 1/4 Jack & the other's a Speakon/ 1/4 Jack combo. You could either daisy from the head to cab 1, then cab 2, or you could take a Speakon - Speakon to one cab & a 1/4 Jack - Speakon to the other. It makes no odds. As for cabs, go & find one that gives you the sound you want & if you need more volume, get a 2nd identical cab. A 2x10 with a 1x15 is a mismatch. Don't be fooled into thinking it's 10s for punch & 15s for bass, that's false marketing.
10. Weekend before the "New Year gig" bump.
11. I'd 2nd trying out the SV1. Been tempted by it the few times I've played it. Might be worth trying the Roland FA08 too. Not a stage piano, but the piano sounds are fantastic and I found the keybed pretty good. Though it is @ £250 over budget.
12.
But you can roll it in glitter!
But the foundation is still crap. Like has been said, it depends on what sound you want. Are you playing rock, jazz, funk, electronica, punk, RnB or something else? I found an octaver, a filter and a distortion gave me a good sound for playing electronica.
13. Bandwagon in Perth often have flats in stock, but I got Chromes from strings direct. Bit too late to order for Xmas delivery though.
14. More people pick up guitar as an instrument than any other & many on the forums are just cheeky kids (affectionately known in Scotland as "wee fannies"). So you can expect a high amount of youngsters on a forum, but better mods on the forums wouldn't go amiss.
15. Pre Xmas bump
16. It depends on your definition of "reasonably priced". Get to a shop & try a few. See what you like the sound of.
17. I think this is more to do with the cab's spec & the characteristics of the driver, than the diameter. I had Celestian loaded Marshall 15s some yonks ago. Didn't lack mids or top end, but had nowhere near the lows of what the 10s in the MarkBass produce.
18. You couldn't use a multi fx unit for more than a headphone amp? What about the fx or amp modelling? Another option is the iPad with an interface & whatever app you fancy.
19.
Don't know the name or the brand but looks like you're looking for that same kind of foam that is used on the inside of flight cases or on the bottom of gramma pads.
That's acoustic foam. The stuff they use under drum risers. It's about £10 for a 6' length (which is @ 1 1/2 x 3"). Somewhere like studiospares or dv247 might be able to help with a small sheet for your board.
20. Santa's coming.
21.
He is going to give him all the speakers plus £63. If the valuation is correct it means that Neptunehealer is £30 up on the deal due to the guitarists poor logic. But that's assuming the valuation is fair. .

I think he means that the guitarist isn't giving him the value of the speakers in cash, but is giving the OP £63 difference in value between the mixer/amps. Although they should actually be splitting that £63.
That would make more sense. I read it as he was giving him the speakers & if the OP sells them, he can then take the £63 out of that for himself. Which makes no sense at all, but it was the interpretation that I took.
22.
He isn't giving me the money, he wants to give me the speakers so i have to sell myself.
This bit doesn't add up. If he gives you the tops, the difference between the value of all the cabs & the value of the amps is £63, right? So if you sell them for what he estimates and he sells the amps, then you're £63 down on what he gets. Now you pay yourself £63 out of that??? What make is the sub?
