  1. I think there's something amiss with the recently used devices thing. This is mine: Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, B73, United Kingdom 9 minutes ago London, England, EC2V, United Kingdom 2 hours ago Birmingham, Birmingham, B15, United Kingdom 2 hours ago United Kingdom 8 hours ago Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN3, United Kingdom 9 hours ago I've certainly travelled about a bit today, the only correct bit would be Birmingham B15, I was at Uni until 2pm, and then B73. I've never been to Northampton in my life.
  2. I don't have a problem at all, even taking into account my 7 or so hours playing each day. I use fingerprint activation on my phone to switch it on and for Apple pay and online banking.
  3. Have you seen the Gruv gear duo?
  4. I’ve got one by Konig and Meyer. Expensive but very nice.
  5. Sorry, they're sold now. I'd forgotten that I'd advertised them on here. Thanks for your interest though.
  6. Listen to Michael Manning for instance. I've used my Markbass amp quite a few times for solo gigs, as does a friend of mine. They're just excellent cabs.
  7. How good is your knowledge of triads, chord tones, pentatonics and scales? Most riffs/licks and bass lines are created from them, fills are the same.
  8. Often what we consider is a great’ tone soloed isn’t so good in a live band context. I also think the average person in the audience isn’t particularly bothered. I also, probably somewhat controversially think that we should learn to use what we've got, I think we tend to sound like 'us', whether it's 'us' playing the bass we've had for the last year or so, or 'us' playing the bass that we're really gassing for.
  9. I tend to use the eticket option if there is one.
  10. The general rule is you wouldn't have sharps and flats together. It really depends too on the key, if it's a flat key, say F for example then it's a Bb, if it's a sharp key, say B major then it's an A#.

    Small monitors

Genelec 8010. They're tiny but magnificent.
  12. True, but it's how you consider it. If I see an F# major chord I'm not going to think Gb, it's F#. It's also how you write it, one's written with flats the other with sharps. And it's also contextual thing, one is Gb the other is F#. Just one of the confusions in music.
  13. You don't need to get into double flats or anything. Gb and F# major both contain the same notes, but one's written with sharps the other with flats. You can easily come across songs written in either key.
  14. That's using enharmonics, which is a good way of looking at them.
  15. Have you got an ipad or iphone? If you have there are hundreds of drum loops in Garageband.
  16. Steve Lawson uses them, they do look very nice.
  17. I’m selling a brand new Mono vertigo in the sales section . I posted a thread earlier about gig bags, have a look there i got some very useful replies. The Mono are about £220 now, really expensive compared to what they were 4 years or so ago.
