1. Just 6 weeks old. In excellent condition, Velcro attached. Comes with the softcase, which is also in excellent condition, and some unused Velcro and cable ties. £70.
2. Also for sale is the Pedaltrain Novo 24 and it’s softcase. This is only about 6 weeks old, and apart from the Velcro is like new.
3. Some photos.
4. Where to start? I listed a whole pedalboard of effects for a really stupid price a few weeks ago. I have since reassessed my needs. I’m changing direction from what I’m doing slightly, largely due to my MA composition course. Anyway, I now have the following for sale. All are in pristine condition, and come with the original boxes etc. MXR bass preamp - £95 - £85 Sold MXR M85 bass distortion - £85 Sold Markbass mini distortion - £65 Sold EHX Memoryman with hazarai - £125 - £80 Dunlop Volume XL - £85 - £60 All prices include postage. I’ll post photos tomorrow.
5. Bump. sorry I’ve not been around for a while. I’ve got caught up with university work. All messages replied to.
6. All the effects shown on the photo. All in excellent condition. Strymon Bluesky MXR bass chorus deluxe MXR bass distortion Markbass mini distortion MXR bass preamp EHX freeze TC hall of fame Strymon el capistan EHX memory man I don't have time at the moment to post individual pedals, so would rather the whole lot goes at the same time.
7. In excellent condition. 35" scale, ebony fretboard. Ridiculously low action. Complete with a Mono gig bag. Collection from Birmingham only.
8.
"Though"??? My brother in law plays trombone in two brass bands and even the local competitions are brutal. I can only imagine how competitive, nerve shredding and nit picking a national comp would be. Respect.
It wasn’t meant with any kind of disrespect. The fact the guy played at the Royal Albert hall is enough for me to offer him the greatest respect. 😊
9.
National Brass Band competition. Now that's proper rock and roll. We won by the way
Bet it was still an amazing experience though.
10. Bass too commonplace? More commonplace than drums or guitar?
11. Gumtree? You do still get time wasters though.
12. Slightly off-topic. It's best really in the long run at least, to avoid playing scales in a 'box' pattern like this. Learn to play the notes instead, rather than a fingering pattern. Imagine if there was an LED at every fret on your bass. You have a button to press and it lights up every note in a given scale, that kind of thing.
13. All the time, both for fretting notes and muting.
14. They have KFC and Starbucks there. Not that I'd touch either, but it's interesting.
15. I’ve always thought they looked quite cute. Never seen one in real life though.
16.
The term has been co-opted by many others but to me a gig is a performance to an audience.
That's how I understand it too. It could be playing solo, with an ensemble or in a theatre pit, it's still a performance though. Same I guess with as mentioned for a DJ.
17. He's a member on here by the way. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/313296-my-first-youtube-music-clip-my-own-song/
18. Mines about 1mm at the 12th fret.
19. Don't think so as it's below the level at which tax comes in, I think that £35.
20. Excellent
21.
XLR to Mono is somewhat defeating the purpose, I think. G.
Thanks for your reply. It maybe is, if you know what the XLR does, in my case I don't hence my post asking.
22. It's gone now I see. I reported it, though only based on the posts here.
23.
That's a balanced output on the XLR. Effects pedals generally aren't designed to deal with balanced (3 connector) signals. The XLR to jack lead you have - is it to a mono two connector Jack or a three connector trs?

Firstly they are both outputs, not inputs because the bass is a signal generator. The XLR will be a balanced output designed go girectly into a mixer channel. You don't say what sort of XLR to jack cable you are using but it could be you are grounding one leg of the balanced signal.
Thanks for the replies. It's an XLR to mono jack cable that I bought from Amazon. It's a good quality one, Van Damme cable and Neutrik plugs. I'm not very technically minded as you may have noticed .
24. I suspect he's not sure, hence the price.
