2. A friend of mine was think about ordering a custom Fodera. We worked out the other week, that it would have cost over £2k more now. There's a guy on here ordered a Zon bass, luckily for him he paid the full amount up front.
3.
People like to blame the B****t nonsense for everything but I don't think that has a lot to do with American instruments. The pound has been widely reported as being artificially high in value for too long. Just resetting everything and it means lots of things will cost more.
The dollar was worth 1.50, its now 1.20. It crashed on June 24th. It's got a lot to do with it surely ?
4. If you consider that a $1500 instrument would have cost you £1000, you'd now need to spend £1250. So that's about right. I'm not sure the US election has anything to do with it, it's all this b****t nonsense that's to blame.
5. I don't generally audition for bands, I get offered gigs through word of mouth, and by people that I know etc. Thinking back to when I did though, I would say that if you do audition, and don't get the gig. Maybe contact them and ask for feedback as to why you didn't.
6. Email them ?
7. The HS7s are great. I have a pair.
8. My Markbass CMD121 is a brilliant combo.
9. Check with YouTube ?
10. The bass is the most vital bit. I'd look pretty silly sitting on stage with my Markbass combo, going dum, d dum dum dum .
11. I've never found much difference between a 34" and a 35" tbh.

13. Apparently they played at my local church hall. I was about minus 20 at the time, so don't remember anything about it .
14. Is there a gain control on the pre ?
15. Used for a couple of hours on my Yamaha TRBJP. Cut for a 34" scale, 3 tuners a side bass, but they were cut a little on the long side.
16. Is it active ?
17. Martin at the Gallery only charges £200 for a re-fret. He's one of the top luthiers in the country. So the £230 is definitely expensive.
18.
I know I am in the right but feel bad even though I have no reason to things like this make me feel down have never been in a situation like this before
I'm the same. I always insist on people collecting basses that I sell in person. They can come over, and spend as long as they want to, trying the bass out. I've even in the past changed the strings whilst the guy was there, simply because the ones fitted were too light for him. There has to be a cut off though, and I'd have though that 2 months was well past that, and I'd have expected to have been contacted prior to any work being done.
19. I listen to the whole thing, that's what the composer or band or whatever had in mind when they recorded it.
20. Rather expensive for a re-fret ? And contacting you after 2 months ! Just ignore them.
21.
I would also say Hondo. Looks a decent made instrument. How's it play and sound?
No idea I'm afraid. He sent me an email earlier, asking if I knew what it was, how much it was worth, and maybe if one of my students would be interested in it. He's a lovely old guy, and a great player.
22. It belongs to a friend of mine. He's had it in his loft for years. Anyone have any idea as to the make etc ?
