1. I'm puzzled as to why you'd play it like he/she does. Fretted A at the 5th fret, followed by fretted B, C, C# etc. Then play open A, and C, Bb on the A string. Notes are going to sound different tonally played on different strings, and different positions. Just play it all from 5th fret E string.
2. I thought they'd closed down.
3. I've never seen that shop before.
4. Sounds to me like they new it was a studio. They now know you have an alarm too.
5. Where was this 3 months ago 😄.
6. Watch your self in a mirror, or video yourself using your phone or laptop. Just to see if you're putting particular strain on your wrists. Make sure that you drink plenty of water too.
7. This is a great interface, in perfect condition. It received some amazing reviews when it was brought out. I'm only selling because I just bought an Apogee. It comes complete with the original packaging and the breakout cables. £150 including next day special delivery postage.
8.
No, a real one would play 7" singles
Or CDs, that's what I meant, it's what my friend had. Though it looked like an old fashioned real thing .
9.
I bought a jukebox, so a I listen to my CD's on that.
A real one ? I knew someone who had one in his music room. The first thing you saw when you went into his flat was pinball machine in the entrance hall, it looked very cool.
10.
I ditched my separates for one of these: I don't understand the witchcraft employed in making something this small sound as good as it does, and I'm OK with that
That's like my niece has, very good, and incredible for the size. She stays with a couple of nights each week and just carries it in her bag.
11.
It amazes me the amount of musicians who don't really seem to either listen to music or want to hear it on anything other than laptop speakers/crappy earphones.
That's what amazes me. To a degree, it's almost disrespectful to the producers of the music.
12.
(As far as boss pedals) only the RC50 will connect to other devices. The rc300 will connect to other rc300s, and the rc505 isn't a pedal. I use the rc50 connected to a korg esx1 electribe, (and my board including midisynced delay, tremolo, and phaser) all syncs up fine.
I knew one did, I use TC gear.
13. Maybe go to do it early, then by the time you've switched the looper you'll be on time ? A lot of looper guys like Steve Lawson and Michael Manring, and myself when I was doing a lot last year, don't do what you're trying to achieve. If they use 'percussive effects', then they create them themselves using their bass, so it's part of the loop, not outside of it. Some loopers can be connected using midi to drum machines, particularly the Boss ones.
14. It's just practice.
15. I like the fact that my 16 year old niece recently bought some blue tooth speakers that she connects her device to. It sounds surprisingly good.
16.
Being the old dinosaur that I am, I started to listen to music at a very early age on my parents "wireless". Later I started buying LP's and later still.. CD's. I have not really kept up with technology since that. I was never really into listening to music on the go. I love to chill out by listening on my hi-fi separates (told you I was a dinosaur.. ). IMO you cant beat listening through "proper" speakers.
That's me. I don't see how you can listen, as opposed to hear music unless it's through headphones or speakers. A phone is better, but even then.
17. Assuming that you do, I know a lot of people don't, which I find odd if you're a musician, but anyway . I grew up listening on my parents hifi. Now, if I'm home then I tend to sit and listen off my macbook via my monitors. If I'm out then it's through headphones. I saw this picture on Facebook a day or two ago, which made me smile. I know back in the 60s music, especially Motown, was mixed so it would sound 'good' on a transistor radio's speaker. In the 80s it was mixed so it would sound good on the little headphones that accompanied Walkmen. People nowadays seem to listen via the pin-head sized speakers on their iPads. This I find totally baffling.
18. Brand new and unused. £25 posted.
19. Both of the Fenders I've owned were American, a US standard 5 string jazz, and a 5 string Marcus Miller. Both had huge, and badly cut (unsquare) neck pockets. Some scratch plate screws were put in at an angle, so the heads protruded. I'd definitely want to see before buying.
20. Some interesting points. http://www.facebook.com/paul.j.watson.71/videos/10153981394626171/?pnref=story
21. Just sold a Protec Contego gig bag to Tony. A very easy and straightforward transaction, highly recommended.
22. It'd just be a 'generic' set up at best. Buying from a shop like the gallery for instance, it'd be setup to how exactly you wanted it.
23.
Again it might be what they are saying, its still wrong.
Well seeing how I personally have no idea at all, I'll bow to your superior knowledge. However I personally wouldn't want someone passing a high voltage through the sensitive circuitry of something like a modern class D amp.
