1.
I've also noticed that the bands that do this tend to play the most generic dull bollocks imaginable that nobody would want to listen to at any volume.
Yep.
 2.
There's a band that occasionally rehearses in the studio next door to us, who play so loud we can hear them quite clearly through the soundproofed wall. It's not a problem when we're also playing, but there have been some evenings when they've been loud enough to disrupt our conversations between songs.
I've had that happen too, except they weren't next door, they were actually in the next studio but one. The band that was next door had given in and left.
 3.
I long for the chance to listen at sane volume levels, we average around 135db at practice (I always wear earplugs). No wonder the others are always moaning "My ears are ringing"... Hardly surprising seeing as you insist on playing at that volume lads......
That's just plain stupid. Why ? Good for you wearing earplugs though. Loud music, and playing loud is one of my pet hates.
 4. Are going to do any classic rock is the typical response to my jazz gig adverts.
 5. I had a polytune clip, it worked well but you can't rotate it, so it wasn't any good for my bass. I use a Planet Waves mini one. It's tiny and very unobtrusive, tracks well even on the low B. It's small but can still be seen easily enough. Also because it's small I can just leave it attached, even while the bass is in its bag being transported.
 6.
Hi! Do you know for what string spacing are these?
Hi These don't have individual pole pieces, but the spacing on my Roscoe is 19mm.
 7. I think it's usually something like 25% in total. That's on everything including the shipping costs.
 8. Yep, you need to check if its got dots where the fret should be, or in the normal place.
 9. I've played in a few art galleries with my one jazz band. They're always nice, a nice vibe.
 10. It looks like a face in the centre, very cool. What's the fretless hanging next to it ?
 11. Yawn 😊. This has been done to death, I'm sure I've seen similar threads at least twice in the last year. Maybe they're selling them to buy 6 string basses ?
 12.
Thank you Ambient, it was me who was on the verge of a bass/window interface trying to learn this for a new project, this might well help.
No problem, I'm glad to be of help . Have you got Transcribe software ? Get it if you haven't. It's free, and is amazing. You can isolate sections, phrases etc, and slow them down. It's really useful for parts like this. http://www.seventhstring.com
 13.
Nice work. Some lush sounds there.

beautiful!
Thanks . Check out Sebastian's other work, he's very good.

 15. I don't think it's spead up. You only have to hear Matt Garrison or Gary Willis play for instance.
 16.
If you want to be a fret board w***er , take up guitar and leave the bass alone ,your missing the point love Don't take offence take the gate it's easier I thank you
I think there's bass playing, and bass playing. Personally I'd take exception to the term 'love' too, but that's just me. Sometimes this is a great forum. Other times not so, especially when there's playing that doesn't conform to the collective view of what bass playing should be. I think both videos are amazing, I'd love to have that kind of ability. I've spent many thousands of hours practicing and don't come anywhere close.
 17.
Hi folks, Here's a little solo improvisation over Autumn Leaves. Hope you enjoy it! Cheers, Kev
That's brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed that !
 18. Cue lots of, erm yeah I know I said she couldnt play, and wouldn't be able to hold a groove, but erm, well yeah, erm. 😊
 19. I know next to nothing about vintage Fender basses. I know enough to say that I'd leave this one well alone though.
