1. I think they're now built in China, they used to be built in Italy. Maybe that accounts for the new prices ?
2. This is a great looking bass. I was really tempted by this when you offered it to me a few weeks ago.
3. Did you not even get people asking if you were going to do any classic rock ?

5.
For piano, yes - it's a classic technical work - but never thought of it in relation to bass before - might give it a go!
It's excellent. I heard about it from Janek Gwizdala at one of his masterclasses, he uses it most days.
6. Anyone else use this in their practice ? I bought my copy years ago for maybe £3. It's a really great little book. The exercises as the name suggests, are designed for piano, but they're brilliant for warming up. They're mostly based around intervals, 3rd, 4th etc. So it's great practice for string skipping and stuff like that. Use a metronome and start slowly, gradually building up the tempo.
7.
Guys, I'm not old, I'm merely older. I'll never be old. Blue
I like that I play in a few jazz bands. The guys in the one are aged between 74 and 84. The 84 year old is an amazing jazz guitarist, his stamina is something to behold. I'm the youngest by 37 years. Proves you're never too old.
8.
The Jug is basically a tips jar for the band. A bit like the busker's hat.
Ah right, around here we use a bucket. You can get PayPal card readers.
9. I'm puzzled - what's the jug ? When I first saw the title I assumed it was the music venue in Moseley.
10. I've used resident in Willesden a few times, I think their one studio has a stage. Not sure though. http://www.residentstudios.com/rehearsal-studios/

12. Neither 😊. Although I respect both for their contribution to popular music.
13. Some photos. These are like new, my price represents a saving of over £300.
14. You can maybe understand why. I mean there's only a certain number of times you can see a thread entitled 'what flats are best ?', or something, without screaming 'use the search function !". You do occasionally get some interesting threads in the section, this is the main one that I look at.
15. I have to say music is an obsession, I'm constantly listening to it and thinking about it..........to me it's part of what being a musician is about.
16. I'm finding new stuff all the time. Mostly contemporary classical and experimental stuff. Oddly I get to know new stuff off amazons recommendations, based on what I've bought before.
17. Talk Talk, Spirit of Eden, courtesy of my older brother and a couple of his mates. I would have been about 11. My parents used to go out on a Saturday night, they'd decided that my brother was old enough to look after me. A couple of his friends came around one Saturday evening and brought this album with them. Previous albums had included Dark Side of the Moon, and a few Marilion albums. I thought this was amazing though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FR45WPnM3qU Probably the only album from my childhood that I still listen to.
18. It's because they've posted an advert, but haven't successfully paid for it.
19.
Great stuff. It's really refreshing to see a bass player like Janek (I'm a big fan!). His positivity, outlook on life, his views on where the music industry is going and his view that you don't HAVE to spend months away touring to be a hardworking musician are a really positive example to set to any other aspiring musician. Such a genuinely nice guy, a great player and a massive breath of fresh air!
He has a new solo bass album out. Released just yesterday.
20. Great, I'm a big fan of Janek's playing. He was a visiting tutor at my uni, I was lucky to get to see him play a few times during masterclasses.
21. I've always loved the look of these, never played one though.
22. Have you checked their Facebook page ?
23.
How did your piece go at uni, ambient?
Hi It was handed in last week, I'm not sure when we get our results. Theses an event next week there where they're all being broadcast. Thanks for asking, and listening, and offering advice.
