1.
Depends on how you like your bass. I`ve got the long version and even then, at full stretch it`s only just long enough for me (can see how it`s set in my pic).
I think they're designed for the traditional rock bass positioning, as demonstrated in your photo. I like mine kind of just above waist height, which is more suitable for finger style playing. They are great straps though, just wish they were a bit shorter .
 2. Problem with the Mono straps is they're very long, even the short length would be classed as long by other manufacturers.
 3. Don't know if Trace Elliot counts as 'classic', but the one I played through recently sounded awful and weighed as much as a small family car, complete with a not so small family.
 4. There isn't any https://soundcloud.com/an-ending-ascend
 5. There's a Spanish luthier called JCR, he makes some amazing, (and very Fodera'esque bases).

 7.
I've seen a lot of horn players using these (or something similar).
Great price, I like cheap Thanks.
 8.
Rediculous price though Try this... http://www.ebay.co.u...=item338259ad30 Despite the Aus dollar price, the seller and item are located in London
Ooh, thanks !
 9.
Stagg. mains and battery operated. http://www.djmmusic.com/p-19598-stagg-clip-on-orchestral-music-stand-light.aspx
That looks perfect, thanks 😊
 10.
Hi! I'll take them please

Have these now gone?
They are still available, sorry for the late reply, I've been somewhat busy over the weekend
 11. I've done some stuff with one, great fun, and it definitely improves your sight-reading !
 12. I'm most definitely not a fan, and would struggle to name a single song. I've just started editing for an online music magazine, and just finished editing a review of this album. The guy admits to being a huge fan of Iron maiden, but only gives it 3 stars out of 5.
 13. It looks rather dangerous, I'de be very wary if I was standing behind you on stage .
 14. In like new condition, An excellent little tuner. Extremely well constructed, designed and very accurate. Unfortunately, although you can adjust the tuning reference, it doesn't go as low as my preferred solo bass tuning i.e. A = 342 Hz. It's maybe a month old. Comes with the box etc. £25 posted.
 15.
You mean to say you haven't had the initiation yet?
I suspect that I wouldn't be allowed in 😊.
 16. If they're playing a bass, doesn't that mean that they're a bass player ? Or is there an initiation necessary to be an actual 'bass player' ?
 17. Steve Lawson is the expert at this, check his Facebook and Twitter accounts, and you'll see how useful both can be.
 18.
So theory gets in the way of creativity? it's a good job no one told Bach, Mozart and Beethoven.
Or in modern times Steve Reich, Phillip Glass or Terry Riley and a whole host of others.
 19.
one of the other problems with theory is it can get in the way of song writing, it can stop you putting a certain chord with another because it's 'wrong' but discordant can sound good, I may be wrong but did the Beatles ever have professional lessons? some of their chord structures would have been frowned upon and John Lydon's out of tune singing would have horrified some (probably still does) but it works. I play with a pick because of my bass playing influences do but I'll bet if I'd have lessons some teachers would have tried to stop me. BTW I'm not saying I wouldn't have been a better player with lessons or more precisely theory, but I do think the wrong way can produce interesting results
Theory doesn't get in the way of creativity. Thinking does. Also how much of what the Beatles did was as a result of working with George Martin, who was classically trained ?
