1.
I think you might have added the wrong video
Thanks I've put in the correct video now.
 2.
Very keen, but have to shift a few pedals myself. They're listed so will be in touch if they go Si
Just sold, sorry !
 3. I use a Phil Jones Bass Double Four combo. Teeny little thing, that sounds amazing. I also use it for gigs, though I only play jazz, but that is with a drummer, keys, guitar and sax. It has a DI out, so you could DI into a PA for larger gigs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KB0qEn-6Bg
 4.
I've been remixing a song in GarageBand with it providing all the instruments via VSTs. Still working on it, but I'm happy with the sound. So I think Logic would be the logical step. https://soundcloud.c...remix-3/s-87v4F
I would say so, I used to use Garageband a lot, and when I moved to Logic (9) it was quite easy to switch. You'll also have the benefit of being able to import your Garageband projects into Logic.
 5. Tried mine earlier, it works faultlessly, and recognises the low B. My only niggle was that I couldn't see that you could use a different reference pitch (I don't use A=440hz), but I just discovered that you can .
 6. I use both Logic Pro X and I bought ProTools whilst I was still a student, just to take advantage of the student discount . I prefer Logic, it's more intuitive. A lot of people have told me that ProTools is more about recording audio, and Logic is more about midi. I only record audio, but still prefer Logic.
 7. How are you going onto the DHL site ? You need to access it via the email from Thomann. That will take you to the correct DHL service. Going to DHL via google and entering the tracking number for mine didn't work, but following the Thomann link it did.
 8. Mine has just arrived Feel sorry for the guys who ordered before me though.
 9. I love graphite necked basses. My Modulus is by a million miles or more, the bestest bass I've ever played. I want a fretless to go along with it.
 10. Something I ordered Monday is out for delivery too. I was a little concerned it might get delayed, after reading this.
 11. This is in like new condition (though it does have velcro on the base). These are great distortion pedals, with an amazingly tiny footprint. Very versatile sounds wise, with the 2 band EQ controls. Check the video review here for an idea of the sounds, he demos the Markbass from 1.03 onwards - Includes the box etc. I'd like £[s]70[/s] £65for it, which includes next day postage.
 12.
I've got one of these - fabulous pedal. For ideas about how to use distortion in ambient music, check out Tim Hecker - especially his earlier albums. The first track on Mirages, 'Acephale', is astonishing - real shock and awe stuff! I have no idea whether he is using stomp boxes or whether it is all software-based, but it sounds very analogue. Amazing stuff. Anyway, GLWTS!
Thanks, I'm checking that out now
 13.
Just been listening to the tracks on your website (through headphones). Excellent and very, very relaxing. Great stuff.
Thank you, and thanks for listening
 14.
Looking for any trades at all? Si
Maybe an Aguilar Tone Hammer pedal, or possibly an MXR preamp pedal.
 15. After spending the last 3 years studying music. Having to learn ridiculously hard stuff where the whole thing is just the technique, and having lessons every week off people who's whole thing is technique, but have no idea about being creative. I'd rather hear a bassist playing music, and being creative, the whole playing fast, or slap or groove thing just bores me so much.
 16.
And that's why I tried to put a financial comparison with Radio 1 - their cost per listen is 0.001p, so your 400 listens via streaming would have been worth 0.4p at Radio 1 rates, your getting 50 times that. When the listens do build up into the hundreds of thousands then musicians will be doing very nicely. It will take a long time to happen, but remember, in the 60s, artists were getting 0.75% royalty on physical sales.
No, see my earlier post in the thread where Portishead got just $2500 for 34 million streams. http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/04/portishead-made-just-2500-off-34-million-streams/
 17.
It is all very speculative, but this could become the new model for the equivalent of radio payments. Radio 1 pays about £40 a play. This will go out to around 4 million listeners. Effectively this means you get 0.001p per listen. The big difference is that radio gets to a wider audience who haven't chosen to listen to that track, whereas spotify will make suggestions. Long term this could become a viable model for musicians, and is certainly better than the blatant piracy that kicked the whole problem off in the first place.
I was actually only thinking that this morning. I wonder if radio program's as we know them will exist in 20 years ?
 18.
I think musicians should be paid for playing music, not for people listening to it. One doesn't pay every time one looks at an artist's painting or sculpture. Live performance, fine; the audience pays. Recordings should be paid for on a 'one off' basis. To me, all this stuff about 'intellectual property' is a scam. Actors in films get paid for their performance, not for the folks going to the cinema. Yes, I was a professional musician for some years. It's become a cow for milking, imo, where folks get money even when sitting by the pool or doing their shopping. An unpopular view, I know, but there it is.
If a song is played on the radio, Radio 1 or Radio 2 whatever. Then both the songwriter and and band (including the musicians playing on the session), get a royalty paid to them. So what's the difference between that and someone listening via a streaming service ? This is a screenshot of my CD Baby payments page. The amount I get varies enormously from as little as $0.0008 per play, to as much (sarcastically) as $0.010 per play. They owe me 42 pence, which I'm unable to withdraw, because it's below the withdrawal limit, kind of annoying, how many other 42 pences are they sitting on I wonder ? 19. Something else interesting - http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/04/portishead-made-just-2500-off-34-million-streams/
 20. Posted on Facebook earlier. https://medium.com/@Innerviews/the-finger-s-on-the-self-destruct-button-8502f3cc4b5c
 21. Beautiful 😊 is that a Maine coon ?
 22.
This was a telephone order and was told 4 days it is now 9 days now as it shipped on 30 June 08:00am ordered 29 june I can understand shipping delays two days extra but was under the impression guitars where air freighted in
I thought most things would've been by air, simply going by the usual average delivery time.
