1. Active monitors yes. You mean a focus rite 2i2 ? I used to use the same interface.
2.
Unreal.
She'd been selling stuff on eBay for years, yet they didn't believe her.
3.
Just hit it with a heavy book and it'll go away.
Won't it just appear on the other side ?
4. The ridiculous thing is, how much would he actually get for it if he sold it all ? Probably just a fraction of its true cost.
5.
Yup this has happened to me. You have absolutely no way of winning a situation such as this either with Paypal. They simply refuse to believe the buyer could be telling porkies, and more often than not the buyer can end up with the goods AND a refund.
My sister-in-law sold an unwanted/duplicate wedding present on ebay. The buyer claimed it was faulty which it wasn't, he got refunded and sent her back an empty box.
6. In fact thinking about my order from them, I placed the order on the Sunday and it arrived on the Tuesday. Pretty good service in my book.
7. What annoys me is when you are very specific about yourself and what you're looking for, but still get classic rock and blues bands contacting you 😁
8. I bought a pedal from their Amazon shop in January. It arrived within 48 hours.
9. Slightly off topic, but I've been approached by a new member on here a couple of times offering me items that I have wanted ads on for. He even accepted a silly offer as long as I pay by PayPal gift. A friend at uni was also offered something by I think the same guy, going from the area he lives in anyway. I think you can become complacent sometimes.
10. I guess a cab with 10s will sound clearer than one with 15s.
11. Don't ask on here, seriously. You'll get loads of different answers, all well meaning, but based on what others would look for. The best thing is to go along to a shop or shops, and try as many as possible. There are 2 reasons why people buy a 5 and then sell them - 1) The buyer thinks of it as a 4 string with an extra string, the B therefore just becomes a thumb rest. 2) They buy the wrong one. There are lots of variables, string spacing, neck profile, neck width etc. You may find one with the perfect width, but the wrong profile neck etc.
12. This http://www.cartec-audio.com is actually a site set up by a disgruntled customer to warn others. There's a contact bit at the bottom of the screen.
13. The guy here http://www.cartec-audio.com mentions paying him by bak transfer just like you did. Maybe if you can contact him and compare account numbers you'll be able to find out if it's the same guy. Though it certainly looks like it is.
14.
So whilst Strings Direct have up'ed TI's by a fiver, Dv247 have the, at £30.30 or £35.29 delivered. My Jazz Bass is looking forward to a new fresh set tomorrow http://www.dv247.com...CFQn3wgod72sA1Q
I bought a 6 string set last week from DV247, I think they were £54 ? Delivered within 48 hours too.
15. Maybe mention the bands that you're into.
16. Something that's occurred to me regarding this. The guy would've had to pay his £20 or whatever to advertise. Wouldn't that PayPal payment have a name and address ?
17. Isn't there some EU law or something about amps having to have speakon connectors ?
18. Maybe that stuff that you stick under rugs to stop them moving on wooden floors ? Or perhaps pedalboard velcro.

Chorus advice

TC Corona would be my choice, have you checked the TC website and listened to the downloadable tone prints ?
20. I had a 5 string one, and I tried a friends really old Pre-what-ever 4 string one a few times. Personally I've never gotten on with them, they've just never sounded right when I've played them. My friends bass sounds amazing when he plays it, but totally different when I do.
21.
Do I have to be invited into this voucher scheme, or do I just go on the site and write some reviews?
You need to have bought stuff from them. Just go onto 'my orders', click on the items and do a review. If you do a long review then you get more vouchers.
22.
I did not know there was a 50 euro limit per customer, just thought that was the maximum, for any submission of reviews at a time. Would be interested to clarify this , as the price, service and vouchers are what keep me going back
I don't think there is either to be honest. I've had vouchers a few times now, and after my last lot of reviews they gave me another €30 worth that I put towards my new Aguilar TH500.
23.
http://www.diago.co....werstation.html I know you've already pulled the trigger, but this Diago unit is probably the best I've used yet. Apart from the quality & functionality of their kit, Diago are a British outfit (so they're easy to reach) and they remember what 'customer service' means (so you can actually sort stuff out when it goes wrong or bits go missing).
I've got one of these, they're excellent, and a good price too.
