4. Not something that I've ever had, but I've read that anti-inflamatories can help, and diet can play a part in keeping it at bay.

8. I had one of these, really great basses. Aren't they 35" scale ?
9. I've been told that a lot of shows specifically ask for a Fender bass.
10. I sent a faulty monitor back to them recently and it cost nothing at all. They emailed a return shipping thing, and I took it along to the post office. They had it back the following evening.
11. This is a pretty good site to look on - http://www.musicteachers.co.uk
12.
You get it?
Mine arrived Thursday, very pleased
13. This, fantastic fretless tone. Possibly not to everyone else's liking maybe. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/grace-and-gratitude/id208160961
14. Not trying to derail the thread at all. I was talking to someone the other day, and he said something very sensible. All this talk about lightweight cabs, you only maybe carry the cab a very short distance, probably only for a few seconds even, and you can get great collapsable trolleys very cheaply. Most of the time it's the bass that causes back problems, it's the bass that is after all strapped to you for possibly 2 or 3 hours of a gig. just a thought.
15.
You mean remove the whole thing from BassChat entirely and transfer it to YouTube..? Makes sense... no-one would have to be irritated by it then, would they? No-one's irritated by anything they see on YouTube.
Use youtube if you opt for a very short video, or use Soundcloud, but have a Basschat page, so all the entries are in a single place. Email your entry to someone on Basschat, they stick em up on Soundcloud, or Youtube.
16. Maybe a 40 second video clip would be better ? Compose and record it, send it to whoever is in charge of organising it, they can stick it up on a basschat YouTube page so they're all together in 1 place.
17. I travel from Marylebone to Birmingham/Sutton Coldfield every Thursday, sometimes Friday.
18. That's really good, great to hear.
19.
I don't believe you.
It's totally true. I'm just not at all interested in rock music, particularly that from years ago. My influences when taking up playing bass were guys like Jaco, using bass in a melodic way. Nowadays it's mostly either classical or experimental music that I listen to.
20.
Not to worry. I joined this site over five years ago, and in that time I have discovered several musicians (not just bass players) that I had never heard of before. Some of which are now so familiar to me that it is as if I had always known about them and their work!
That's it isn't if ? If you don't listen to music from a genre, then you're not gonna have heard of them. One of my students is 16 and never heard of Flea, but there're guys he likes that I've never heard of. He's into progressive metal type stuff.
21.
Well that's not very rock 'n' roll, to be honest! I bet you do that quiet electronic music no-one listens
I don't do electronic music 😊
22.
didn't know who Geezer was? Thats not very cool to be honest!
I guess I'm not very cool 😊 I've heard of Black Sabath but honestly can't name a single song of theirs. I'd imagine they come under the genre of classic rock ? Sorry, I only read the thread cos I was intrigued to see who had been arrested.
23. They were always really good. I bought a pair of Yamaha monitors from them maybe 15 months or so ago. I didn't like them and decided I wanted a different pair, they let me exchange them, even though I'd had them for over a week. I didn't realise they'd been taken over, it's always sad when once reliable and reputable dealers go down hill like this. Yet more reason I guess to use Thomann ? My current Genelecs were over £100 cheaper than anywhere in the UK (from Thomann), one went wrong after just over a month. I emailed Thomann, who replied the next day, and sent me a return shipping thing. It was returned to them in just 36 hours, they replaced and sent the new one to me within a week.
24. Unfortunately I had to use google to find out who he was It's not very cool to be honest, the guys older than my dad, and quite frankly should know better.
