1. Anyone any experience of using this, and setting it up ? It's perfect for my needs, i.e. small and weighs next to nothing My problem is I want it to control MainStage, which it does, but I also want it to control Mobius looper. I'm having a problem with the terminology in all the manuals that I'm reading, I don't understand what they're on about !
2.
Really nice track oozes emotional content, love it, amazing that you have created this with just a bass and an effects pedal, very impressed
Thanks
3. Maybe it's as well they don't sell through shops, they're not exactly cheap as it is ! I have seen two of these cabs, and didn't think much of the build quality. The one wasn't even square !
4. Aren't these cabs actually quite expensive ? I think if you buy something that's quite expensive, then you'd expect it to be well designed, sounds to me that it's maybe not. As for supplying new handles when old ones get worn out, the cabs can't really be that old, they're quite new on the market aren't they ? So why would they wear out so fast, or aren't/weren't they particularly good quality ?
5. I've gone from singes, to a multi and I'm now using the plugins from Logic Pro/Mainstage. Problem with singles is you generally have 'one' sound set up on them, if you want/need another for a different song/piece or section, then you have to mess about with knobs. The beauty of a multi effects is you can set up different sounds and just call them up. It also saves all the spaghetti of cables and makes routing easier. A lot of my stuff on band camp was with a Boss Gt10, others are Logic plugins. Try a Boss GT3, it's good enough for this guy - just happens to be my 2nd favourite bassist http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY4Ra2KOyas
6. Haven't you put hours and hours into learning to read etc ? Seems a bit of a waste 😒
7. What's it currently tuned to ? Whereabouts are you ? What's the string spacing ?
8.
Doesn't look like a comfort... although I have been known to be wrong Do you guys wear yours that way round? with the adjustable bit up by the top horn? I've always had mine the other way round with the adjustable bit near the bottom strap pin... guess it doesn't make much difference really.
It's not a comfort strap, much too much padding in it. I always have the adjustable bit on the bottom of the bass too.
9. Just looks really comfortable
10. Amazing basses
11. It's the same as the major, if you carry on forming chords across 2 octaves. The natural minor or relative minor is the 6th degree of the major scale, so start there and carry on building chords from there. ie - minor, m7b5, major, minor, minor, major, dominant 7, minor.
12. Another new one here https://ambient-bass...ime-spent-alone This is just 6 tracks of bass. Probably slightly long too, at just over 10 minutes, so well done anyone who manages to sit through it all I'm not thinking bass at all really with any of this stuff, I'm hearing cello, violin and woodwind. Probably really not the best of forums to put any of this on, it's probably the antithesis of what bass is about. It doesn't even sound like bass, maybe I need to learn to play properly and stop disguising it
13. Steve Hackett didn't like it, I just read this on his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Steve-Hackett/123101228589?fref=nf
14. Sorry, it's sold.
15. Would you split them ? I may be interested in just one.
16.
I also really enjoyed this. Do you have a youtube video or similar showing how you performed this piece, or one like it?
Thanks for the comments 😊 A video is something I plan to do when I get some time 😊 I'm reworking my live set up at the moment, I have some live things in the pipeline, also some exciting collaborations planned.
17. I experimented with effects pedals over the summer, but could never get them to sound how I wanted, and I was always frustrated by the fact I couldn't route them how I wanted. So I went with a Boss multi-effects which was truly great, but too heavy. So now I'm think of using my MacBook that has Logic Pro X, and MainStage 3. I'm planning on getting maybe a Softstep to control it all. Anyone else using this or similar ? I have to say the effects in Logic are pretty amazing, and extremely tweakable.
18. I'm looking at getting a Softstep and using MainStage 3/Logic Pro for my effects. Did you finally get this to work ?

Martin just bought my hard drive. A nice easy deal, very prompt payment etc.
20. Just bought James's Zon Sonus. A great easy deal, he very kindly held it for me until my student loan came through.
21.
SLB100 on ebay at the moment http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3395e1662e
That's an SLB100, it's not semi hollow, it's the SLB200 that has the cavity. I can testify about the weight, that's partly why I'm selling mine.
22. I had to do this for one semester in my first year at uni. I was dreadful at it, not helped by the fact that I can't sing ! I found that I had to 'switch off', if I though about one or the other things, then it all went wrong. You need to really know the bass part, and the vocal part, and basically just do it on auto pilot.
23.
pm sent
And replied to.
24. Withdrawn. Too nice to sell
