  1. My dad and my brother have jars and boxes of screws and assorted car parts. I have this. My plan is to sort it out this weekend. I may be gone some considerable time.
  2. Excellent condition. I’m a bit of a headphone junky, I have four pairs of headphones, these are the least used - they’ve probably had four or five hours usage. I’ve - oddly for me - lost the box, but they’ll come well packaged. I’ll include the case that they’re photographed with. It’s not a perfect fit, but it’s kept them safe and clean. Some details: AKG K702 Reference Open-Back Over-Ear Studio Headphones The K702's are reference, open, over-ear studio headphones for precision listening, mixing and mastering. Specifications: Headphone type - open Sensitivity headphones - 105 dB SPL/V Rated Impedance - 62 Ohms Detachable cable - yes Cable Length - 3 m Earpads replaceable - yes Maximum input power - 200 mW Audio frequency bandwidth - 10 - 39800 Hz Reference Studio Headphones for precision listening, mixing and mastering. The K702's are reference, open, over-ear studio headphones for precision listening, mixing and mastering. They combine an extremely accurate response with agility and spaciousness. This is achieved by using revolutionary flat-wire voice coils and a Varimotion two-layer diaphragm. A totally open design and a high-performance cable complete these reference headphones. The K702's comfortable, specially shaped 3D-foam ear pads and a genuine-leather headband ensure a perfect fit. They provide a professional mini XLR connector for quick replacement of the cable. The K702s are individually checked and serial-numbered.
  3. There are various teaching theories that use this kind of internalisation. Check out Montessori, Carl Orff, and Emile Jaques-Dalcroze.
  4. These are fabulous. I have the Dwarf.
  5. It’s horses for courses. I wouldn’t dream of anything other than just my bass into an amp for my jazz stuff. if I need to sound different I’ll play differently. Conversely I need my outboard gear for my solo bass stuff.
  6. Sold elsewhere.
  7. Wouldn’t there be a seam?
  8. Lessons available in the Birmingham area for bass guitar - 4, 5 and 6 string bass, plus extended playing techniques. Music theory, sight reading, jazz playing, improvisation, music technology - home recording etc. I graduated with a 1st class honours degree in music performance in 2015. My masters degree followed a mixed pathway of performance and composition. I recently completed a PGCE - Post compulsory education at BCU. I have many years playing and teaching experience. I charge £25 per hour.
  9. Still available, and very much in the way - at least according to my mum.
  10. You have to I guess adapt what you’re doing? Michael Manring used a Musicman Stingray in his early days, before he started using Zon basses.
  11. As my university tutor said, it’s how you play. You’ll see a Fender Jazz being used in rock bands, funk, jazz, CW, blues. I’ve seen fretless bass used in metal.
  12. I am considering it. I’d like a fretless 6 string. I’m not keen on the scratchplate either, that’s the beauty though, you can tailor what you see to what you want. I like the fretless model you can see at the very bottom of the gallery, it looks like it’s semi-hollow.

  14. I don’t, I do actually prefer the name Pasini to W&T.
  15. I think the headless one is my favourite.
  16. True. If we all liked the same thing, it’d be a pretty boring world. This is mine.
  17. I’ve long been a fan of their instruments. I’ve so far owned two, a five string Chronos, and my current six string that I bought direct from Enrico last year. They’ve bought out a new range, they’re fabulous looking instruments. I love the concept of creating music on an instrument that is itself a work of art. From the email I received earlier: Pasini Basses' inspiration is all about a phrase from Leonardo Da Vinci: "A functional object is fully accomplished only when it is a beautiful artistic creation". https://www.pasinibasses.net/
  18. Allo, allo, allo, allo. Wots goin on ere then? No idea I’m afraid, I just wanted to say that. Surely it would be the same with anyone working shifts?
  19. I prefer to use UK based shops, Thomann still beats them on a lot of things though. I bought a set of strings for my DB from them recently, and saved over £70.
  20. The HoF is a great little reverb pedal. Especially when you delve into the tone print feature.
  21. I’m sorry, I’m struggling to see exactly where I’ve done that? Where in my comment have I cast aspersions at anyone? I merely pointed out my belief that it’s the change in VAT rules, then made a joke that I hadn’t in that explanation mentioned Brexit.
  22. Complaining on stage isn’t at all professional. I’d wait until the interval and go home.
  23. I suspect it’s due to the VAT. Thomann are now registered for UK VAT, there’s obviously paperwork now that will need to be processed in customs - I’m guessing our customs? This wasn’t there prior to a certain event happening. He says, pleased that he managed an explanation without mentioning Brexit.
  24. Yep. The gift that keeps giving.
