1.
Nice setup;) do you have a usb music keyboard?
Yeah, it's an M-Audio, not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination, the action feels really awful, but it does the job. I know what you mean about driving, I have to rely on my dad !
 2. This is mine, not ideal but I'm reasonably happy with it, baring in mind I only have 1 room . I have my keyboard on a stand at the side of me when I'm working on stuff. I have an armchair against the wall facing it, and tend to sit in listening over things on repeat. Seriously though, decide how you want it, and then use eBay and Gumtree to source things. 3.
Thanks basically, I'm using a corner desk , which is rather small for my requirements . Was thinking of a long white desk , about 6' long . Then I thought that a cupboard may be tidier .
Work top cut off maybe ? Under desk pedestal drawers can be bought quite cheaply from eBay or Gumtree.
 4. I just used google images for inspiration until I saw something that looked how I wanted. eBay is maybe your friend for buying stuff, you possibly need to be patient, but you'd be amazed what you can get things for, especially when they're collection only. My desk came from eBay for 99p, it was collection only from 2 miles up the road. My rather nice, and originally rather expensive Ultimate support monitor stands cost me £20, again collection only from eBay, though this time a little further away at 10 miles . I hate seeing cables draped everywhere, so I bought some cable tidy stuff for a few pounds from Amazon. The acoustic foam tiles, maybe now in the wrong place since I moved some stuff around cost about £10. I had my dad make a frame that was filled with leftover rock wool, and the tiles were stuck to the front. Whole cost, furniture wise - about £40.
 5.
Well they probably are limited edition. Levi's would probably usually throw any bleach damaged jeans in the dustbin...
Just beware buying anything from Honeymonster1959
 6.
How the hell does a bleach mark signify that jeans are limited edition?! Some sellers just se like idiots to me..
My thoughts exactly I had to read it a couple of times to make sure I'd read it properly
 7. I think I'm going to stop buying off eBay. A couple of things recently haven't been as I'd hope they were from the description and the photos. Today I received a pair of jeans that I won last week, nice looking jeans except for the bleach mark on the back of them. I emailed the seller and this is his reply - Dear ianhoward, Hi Ian sorry that you are not happy with jeans they were bought with mark on them I questioned it at the time and was assured that the mark was there to show that the red label 501s were a limited edition they were pretty expensive at the time so that reassured me but the fact remains that you are unhappy so what would you like me to do about the problem sorry I did not put it on the description but as it had always been there I did not think that it was a problem look forward to your comments hopefully we can resolve the problem amicably many thanks Terry - honeymonster1959 He obviously needs to work out where the comma and full stop buttons are on his keypad.
 8. Rothko has or maybe had 2 bassists.
 9. So you've played and recorded the bass parts, now they're mixing, arranging and producing it ?
 10.
Although I use Sibelius for work, another package well worth considering (and it is up there with Sibelius and Finale), is Notion4 (£40.00). https://shop.presonu...-prods/Notion-4 It is very easy to use, incredibly stable with a very simple work flow. (worth checking out the tutorial videos they have, and on YouTube). I use Notion 4 on the iPad for my own personal use and it works a treat (about £11.00, or £21.00 for all the in App purchases). If you purchased Notion4 desktop @ £40.00, you qualify for a crossgrade offer to Sibelius 7.5 full version @ £160.00, (so, total of £200.00) and a saving of around £200.00 on the full version. - Worth considering... If you are after free, then MuseScore seems a safe bet, plenty seem to like it.
Notion's the software advertised by Esa-Pekka Salonen in the iPad Air advert, that does look really good, and it's something I'm planning to get when I get an iPad. 11. Maybe have a look on Talkbass, there's bound to be a 'club' for vintage Fender basses.
 12. There was a guy on here a few weeks ago contacted me about selling mine. I'll try and remember his name for you.
 13. I use Sibelius, it's good but fiddly to use and took me ages to work it out.

 15.
It's the same serial number.....
Yeah, just noticed that, it's a 2008 model. Beautiful bass, if it was a fretless you'd be hearing about my fund-raising mission at one of my local banks on tomorrow nights news .
 16. Is this the one that was on eBay last week, and was taken off ? Absolutely amazing basses, mine is without doubt the best bass that I've ever owned or played.
 17. Number 4 - http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/sell-getstarted.html You have to have a telephone to sell on eBay, and need to confirm the number.
 18. I don't think there is a 'standard' wear pattern on a bass. It depends I think on who's owned it, I've seen basses that are only a year or so old that have been really badly knocked about, and instruments that are 30 years old and immaculate. There's a book about Fender basses that's really good, lots of great photos of genuine old basses.
 19.
Yes, you will get your money back if you don't receive the item. You do need a bit of patience here though as assuming it was sent Royal Mail the seller can't even claim until 30 days so if he did send it and it is lost in the post it is hardly right to get angry with him about it. Okay he isn't responding but he has marked it dispatched so that is all he would say anyway isn't it? Agree with others up there. I have sold 100's of things on eBay and I am a very good seller but I have had more problems from buyers than from anyone I have bought from. The change I would make to eBay is that the payment gets automatically taken from the winning bidders Paypal account when the auction ends. A lot of people just don't bother paying but you still have to wait 7 days, cancel listing, realist and wait for auction to end again etc, etc,.
The problem with that is it could maybe cause the buyer to go overdrawn ? They may be fully intending to pay, but may not get paid for a day or 2. I recently bought a couple of things that were collection only, I was going to pay cash for them, I'd have had to have paid the cash in so that Paypal could take it out, a lot of faffing about. I do see your point though, but maybe non payments should show up on a buyers profile ?
 20.
I paid via Visa debit :S
Shouldn't be a problem then .
 21. If you pay by debit or credit card (via Paypal), then you're also covered by your bank. I got my money back from my eBay purchase that went wring through my bank. I didn't have a Paypal account at the time, so paid as a 'guest', and neither eBay or Paypal wanted to know, my bank on the other hand did a great job and refunded me within a week or so. I just had to take screenshots of the relevant eBay pages and sign a declaration.
 22.
But have you actually requested the sellers contact details from ebay?
I thought they had to have a phone number to sell ? I had a problem last year with something I'd bought, the seller wasn't responding to email, so I contacted ebay and they gave me the phone number.
 23.
I bought a Vester 5-string from a bloke in South Wales; paid him extra to send it Parcelforce, because he wanted to use myHermes and I have no faith in them at all. He sent it by myHermes anyway. Tosser.
Parcelforce don't insure musical instruments, so he may have done you a favour if you'd had a problem, assuming he insured it.
 24. If you ask Ebay they'll give you his phone number. They encourage you to contact the seller before starting any kind of dispute.
 25. I think people spend to much time messing about about with the EQ on their amps, constantly fiddling around with it. I leave mine totally flat, my MB LM3 is seemingly about as neutral sounding as an amp can be with all the tones set at 12 o'clock and the filters off. The Acme Low B1 is designed to be like a studio monitor, so it again is as neutral sounding as a cab can be, with little inherent tone. Any changes in tone are done on the bass, or by playing differently.
