I feel your pain, I had to learn treble clef for uni . It's still awkward switching between the 2.

Can you not just transpose the bass part into treble clef using sibelius or something ?

You know I find it amazing that in this day and age, when we're in the middle of a recession and when you have the internet and can let thousands know about the poor service that we still have such shoddy service. There's another thread on here about poor service from custom build people, luthiers and pickups. I approached a guy last week and asked if he'd build a ramp for one of my basses. He replied sure no problem, wedge will be £10 ebony £20, plus postage. So I gave the exact dimensions and paid him by bank transfer, he said he'd post it the following day. Saturday, still no sign of it in the post so I sent him an email, to which he replied "sorry it totally slipped my mind, I'll get it posted today". This being 2 o'clock, even I know the post office would be closed. So I replied, can you post it special delivery on Monday please, so I get it before Christmas, I did pay £3.50 for the postage, and it is only a small bit of wood. No reply from him Saturday, so I emailed him again today, and no reply so far to that. I was gonna get 3 more made, but they won't be by him.

I want someone to build some ramps for my basses, I just want to send them the dimensions and have them build them and post them on to me. Anyone recommend anyone ?

I saw Nick Beggs with Steven Wilson, he's a really great player.

When do you need to know by ? Might be good aural and transcribing practice for me .

I've got a 24 year old trb6 which is an amazing bass, and certainly built to last.

There are a few books by Stuart Clayton that may have this in. Sorry I can't help personally 😄

I recently downloaded transcribe, it's very good and you can get it free for a month. Here's some Matt Garrison that I did a while ago. I have more but they're not done in Sibelius, they're just sketched out randomly on manuscript paper.

I think you want a comma button too . They do look beautiful, but they do seem to be wildly expensive, relatively speaking anyway.

Here's some stuff, I have more but will need to put them into Sibelius, they're very roughly scribbled out on manuscript paper at the moment. I'd also need to work out where they're from, they're not necessarily from the start of the song. Hope these are of some use .
