  1. I know a couple of people who keep bees. It’s something I’d love to do.

These are fabulous basses. Good luck with your sale.
  3. I bought it maybe three years ago? I bought it from a guy who works at Overwater.
  4. I bet that was great though. A friend of mine went out to the woods by him the other day and did an impromptu gig for the wildlife.
  5. I’m thinking more of rehearsing here, but It’s not as many seem to think just a case of social distancing. If you’re in an enclosed space pretty soon you’re going to be breathing in the same air that someone has breathed out. I know some have air conditioning, but not all do, and those that do, how often are they serviced?
  6. Was it with P&O? I read earlier they’ve cancelled now until October.
  7. A Chapman Stick? There’s one for sale at Bass Direct at the moment.
  8. That’s my huge, huge worry too. My mom had cancer 7 or 8 years ago. It left her with some health issues that would put her at serious risk.
  9. Though to be totally honest, my solo gigs are generally a perfect example of social distancing 😆.
  10. That’s what my sister in law said no more than two hours ago. She bought the boys over to see my mom and dad, they just sat in the garden for half an hour, maintaining social distancing, she wore a mask too. She’s a doctor, she’s expecting the big spike much sooner. Gigs and travel can wait, I’m definitely in no rush, I can’t work out why people would be. There’s a friend of mine from university who’s been in hospital for the last five weeks with Coronavirus. He spent four of those weeks in a medically induced coma. I only found out last week, he posted a video on Facebook. It’s a horrible disease. You might be lucky and just have mild symptoms, then again it could kill you. Those it doesn’t kill are often left with life changing health problems. Why take the risk is what I think.
  11. I think if you’re coming from another DAW, Logic Pro or ProTools, Ableton maybe, there’s a definite quite steep learning curve with Reaper. It does some things it’s own way, and it can definitely be quite frustrating at times. It’s a very deep piece of software, and possibly not very intuitive, but for £60 it’s a steal really.
  12. As others have already said, Reaper is excellent.
  13. None of the promoters or event curators I know are planning anything for this year. They’re planning now for 2021, but that obviously depends how things turn out.
  14. I don’t blame you, all that wind flying about 😁
  15. I have PhD tutorials in a studio at my university, they’re deemed too risky for the foreseeable future, so they’ll continue to be via Zoom or Skype. That’s just two people, the studios are probably about the same size as a small rehearsal studio. We don’t sit close together anyway, but we’d still be in the same enclosed space for a prolonged period; usually an hour and a half. Just sat listening to my work and talking. There’s none of the physical exertion associated with a band playing, people standing up, moving about, singers singing, drummers drumming, sax players saxing etc. It’s madness in my opinion to want to play just yet.
  16. To be honest; and I’m going from my personal experience of many, many rehearsal studios over many years here, but I'm genuinely surprised that they’re being allowed to open. Not meaning to offend anyone, but if people are planning on getting together in a rehearsal studio, then more fool them, because I wouldn’t. They’re not the most hygienic of places at the best of times.
  17. I’ve bought stuff from PMT, Guitar Guitar, Bass Direct and Juno Sounds recently. All arrived within a day or two.
  18. That’s incredibly beautiful. Whereabouts are you?
  19. It’s just asking how you want your audio to go in and out. If you want to record then you use an interface, changing your analogue signal to digital. You’d select whatever that is; it usually detects it and you select it. Output if your interface hasn’t got outputs to monitors you’d select the computer built-in output.
  20. I find it’s a little bit of a faff tbh. Use the search box, click on the drop down menu and select basses for sale, and click titles only.
  21. Yes it’s something you can do. Has it got a buy it now price?
  22. My parcel weighed 10kg. The dimensions were 130x70x15. Fully insured the cost was £48. That’s to France.
  23. Try DPD. There’s a special offer on here at the moment too. I booked through them, but booking direct with DPD might have been a little cheaper.
