  1. Just a few weeks old, and used for 5 minutes. It’s sadly not to my tastes. In absolute mint condition.
  2. I’m told it’s NWR on bass. Despite not knowing any of their songs I’m probably going to go, I have complimentary tickets, it’d be rude not to.
  3. One of the other music lecturers does the sound. He really knows his stuff. The venue has a state of the art sound system.
  4. We have a lot of very good bands playing. The 80s band Big Country were on last night.
  5. I see Norman mentioned quite often on bass-related sites. Just a heads up, especially if you’re Birmingham based. They’re playing at the college I teach at in a few weeks time. It’s a lovely venue with a great sound system. https://www.theblockheads.com/live-gigs/
  6. I don’t see any adverts. I use an ad blocker.

  8. New in the box. Full details here: https://motu.com/en-us/products/m-series/m2/
  9. These are fantastic. I replaced an entire pedalboard with one of these and a volume pedal.
  10. I thought his name was Geddy Lee? I’ll fetch my coat 😆.
  11. Has there been a slip in the time/space continuum, resulting in us being transported back in time to the 1970s?
  12. Pau Ferro, aka iron wood. As long as it doesn’t go rusty, what’s the problem? I believe it’s very durable and makes for a great fretless fingerboard.
  13. I’m not a fan of his music. The guy's an absolute genius though.
  14. Bought new last year. All are in excellent condition. Prices include postage. Ron Carter solos - £6.50 Ray Brown’s bass method - £10.00 George Vance: Progressive repertoire vol. 1 - £20 David Allen Moore: Fractal Fingering - £20
  15. It's down to the individual's interpretation really. There might be a starting point, sometimes it might be left to the musicians to decide where to start playing from. Sometimes there are bits that the composer wants played, but it might down to the performer to decide when - or it might not
  16. Just a few months old. In as new condition, complete with original box and whatever software it came with. Price includes postage.
  17. That’s really weird. Like you say, the whole point of graphic score is that each person will have their own interpretation of them.
  18. In fabulous condition. I really like these, they’re nice headphones. Price includes postage.
  19. They were very sticky. Quite horrible all round.
  20. I tried a set of D’Addario half-wounds a few years ago. They were quite horrible. The low B sounded like it had been dug up during an excavation at Pompeii. The two replacements sent by D’Addario were exactly the same. Personally, I’d go for a bright sounding set of flats, something like Thomastiks.
