  1. I'd recommend the Lehle pedals. They work differently from normal ones. I've owned a couple of the Dunlop ones and found them to be quite noisy.
  2. I was at uni with an Italian guy who was aghast the first time he witnessed someone making a cup of instant coffee.
  3. You mean he doesn't like the cheese and pineapple or cold greasy sausages on cocktail sticks.
  4. I tend not to even bother anyway tbh. I'd rather sit somewhere quiet, have a cup of coffee and read my book.
  5. USB using either an Apogee or my MixPre-3.
  6. Maybe a sprig of mistletoe fixed above your head?
  7. Some photographs. It still has the label attached.
  8. This is one of Martin Petersen's earliest builds. He estimated that it's something like 27 years old. It has been totally refurbished and resprayed by Martin Sims at Sims guitars, and recently setup by Jaydee Custom guitars. It features beautiful Thuya burl facings; front and back, an ebony fretboard, Bartolini 3 band preamp. The scale length is 34", string spacing is approximately 18mm. It's a very light bass, especially for a 6 string. It's also extremely comfortable and very easy to play, having an extremely low string action. It accommodates both single and double ball-end strings, currently it has a set of new Newtone light-gauge double ball-ends fitted. It comes with a Hiscox guitar sized case. I would prefer collection from Birmingham, though I can deliver. Christmas time price of £1500.00. Cash in collection only, I’m no longer interested in any trades. 🎅
  9. Like new, just a month old. Replaced with a MixPre-3 and a pair of DPA mics, otherwise I'd keep it. Price includes a Rycote windjammer and nice little case. Comes complete with all original packaging and the memory card.
  10. It’s well packaged, it’s already travelled from Kent to me in Birmingham, then down to Bournemouth, it’s a long story that I won’t bore you with 😊. It’s in a Hiscox case, inside a very large box; 120cm x 70cm x 20 cm, wrapped in bubble wrap, with smaller boxes filling up the space.
  11. I might be posting an instrument to France. According to the Parcel2Go website the maximum insured value for damage is £100, and for loss is only £100, and that's really expensive; over £80. Is there a company that does insurance for parcels?
  12. On something like that; especially on the front I'd do it so it could be removed at a later date, maybe glue or something?
  13. This was the thread I started a couple of months ago about the almost certain scam that I encountered.
  14. They might say that they can't collect it, maybe they live too far away, but they'll pay and arrange the courier, or a friend will collect it. Those are the usual ones that I've encountered.
  15. Have you got Sibelius? If you have then I'd feel inclined to type the parts into Sibelius and transpose up.
  16. Can you reverse a bank transfer?
  17. It's nice in it's simplicity, though why attach a thumb rest using screws?
  18. It's not just Gumtree. if someone pays you using PayPal then you need to prove that you've sent the item, and that they've received it. Most Gumtree sales are local or local collection. If they pay using PayPal and then either collect it or have the item collected then there's no proof. They then claim you haven't sent it; which you obviously haven't because they collected it, so they get their money back.
