Overwater Jazz Alleva Coppolo Jazz (We can live in hope) Thanks Steve

Dave bought my mates bassbone off him and I coordinated the transaction. He paid really quickly and it was really pleasant and easy to deal with. Steve
Me neither Obviously embarrassed and deleted it.
If you read the post that does remain he explains it. "Interesting comments, clearly many have issues with the shop and there seem to be a mix of constructive and unconstructive ones. Giving the weight to the later, I'm removing my post for risk of further inflaming the situation. " If you think V&R are overpriced then don't buy from them. simple.

I bought my 65 Jazz from V&R in Bath and was very happy with the service I received and met Ben. I probably could have bought it for 15% cheaper on the 'street' but I have the assurance of knowing it is all original and its provenance is correct. I used them for the same reasons you may buy a Porsche from a reputable dealer as opposed to some guy in the paper. Steve

Do you own the most expensive bass on Basschat
Is there anyone here who's actually paid an obscene amount (or anything above its useful value at all...) for an instrument just because of its age/rarity? And I mean OLD age - I think the price of a new bass is obscene compared to the used market, but that hasn't stopped me buying several myself. Does anyone know anyone who's bought one of those crazily-priced 60s Fenders on eBay?
Yes my 65 Jazz was an obscene amount of money and is now worth about 2/3 or what I paid for it. The only consolation is that it is the nicest sounding bass I have ever played and if I had left the money in shares I would be down by more. Steve -
They are really nice, I had a Metro Jazz and maybe didn't appreciate it enough at the time. I sold it on to Birdy. It'd be good to have a gander anytime you wanna do likewise with the Ovarywater. Peter
Wish I still had it Peter!! It was lovely but then again I havent seen a duff one yet. Steve
Yes its a good feeling having less basses for some strange reason
I agree with you on this point, its almost liberating. Steve -

A friend of mine is not very internet savvy so I am selling this for them. I will take payment for them and they will ship. Its the same as this one here, http://www.tonebone.com/tb-bassbone.htm The pedal is in great condition but the box is worn. It comes with the 240V power supply. These are about £225 at the Gallery and my friend is after £150 plus shipping. Let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks Steve
Hi all Bought a Berg HT115 from Owen a while back with my Berg IP112. I haven't used it. In fact, I haven't even opened the box it came in. It's still packaged up under a spare desk in my office! Owen was offering it at £350, but he kindly made it part of a package deal for me with the Berg IP112. As such, I'm offering it at £300 plus postage/shipping. Pickup preferred but not essential. I'm also open to trades. I'm primarily interested in preamps, but feel free to message with offers if you're interested. Thanks for looking! Mark
I will take this - just about to send a PM. Steve
