1. I haven't caught the Shuker bug myself and I normally don't like his non Jazz designs but that looks really classy and the photography is awesome, Congrats! Steve
 2. Would be an interesting buy but I think its overpriced. Somewhere around £2000 may be more sensible given its owner and pedigree would be realistic I reckon. Steve
 3.
Are Fodera's really that good to sell such great basses to fund one. Flippyflop is selling a Wal and a Rumour to fund his!
I think I have missed mine so will never know! Still nothing like a clear out now and again is there :-) There is a whole other thread dedicated to whether Foderas are worth the money in the Basses forum as well. Steve
 4.
Ive been round and tried all of these basses out, They are all stunning and I would buy them all If I had the funds. I can't beleive Steve is selling such a fantastic collection. What struck me most was the condition of these basses, they have been extremely well looked after. Steve is a top bloke, and you would strugggle to find anyone as honest about his basses. Best of luck with the sales!!(personally I think you are mad) Regards Mark
Thanks Mark, Was good to meet you today!! Hope to catch up with you around Sutton at some point. Steve
 5. Blimey Rich, where you pulling all these amps from
 6.
Pics of the GB don't seem to be displaying on the porn thread:
Hmmm.. Let me rectify this. 7. The Metro is now sold pending the usual. Apologies to all who enquired and made offers. I processed everything in order and have accepted the first definate offer that matches the asking price which I think is the fairest way to do it. Steve
 8.
I hear his preamps are mighty complex, what are the specs on them?
Found this here http://www.smbe.co.uk/gb2008/electonics2.htm Steve
 9.
If you sell the Sad, will you withdraw the GB?
Not necessarily and at the moment its still for sale. I think the PUPs and Preamp are Bernie's standard from around 2004 which I believe are the same as now apart from it doesnt have some of the extras such as the tuning pitch and metronome. I will drag out some pics... Steve
 10.
Where abouts are you based? The sadowsky is causing some major financial flatulence
Hi Russ, North Birmingham, Sadowsky may be sold, will know soon I think. Thanks Steve
 11.
So no shipping outside UK?
Hi There, Sorry I missed your previous request in all the excitement as I have been getting lots and lots of PM's. I would possibly ship to Portugal yes but would prefer a more local deal and it looks as though the Sadowsky may be sold. I will update the thread as soon as I know more. Thanks and Apologies, Steve
 12.
Steve - you're slooooooooooowly killing me - I can't decide whether I want the Celinder or the Sadowsky and I can't afford either. I'm in agony here
hehe they are both pretty light, just the thing for a sore shoulder Steve
 13.
PM sent...
And returned. Pics of the Celinder courtesy of Flankers glorious photography skills can be found here... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=30169 PS Ignore the strap, fortunately that didn't come with the bass Steve
 14.
This was requested by one of my students, I thought I'd post it here for general consumption. Corrections, advice and comments are always welcome! Tom
Thanks for this, I appreciate stuff like this as I am slowly trying to read so 'simpler' stuff is brilliant. Steve
 15. No Worries Dave, I have too many basses anyway so if one sells in the meantime it wouldnt be the end of the world. Let me know if there is any change in your situation. Thanks Steve
 16. I need to raise some cash as I want to buy the Fodera thats for sale. I will sell any two out of these three basses as I honestly couldnt choose between them as to which ones I prefer, they are all absolute quality. I will post photos later but there are some on the threads here which I will mention. If the Fodera sells I will probably rethink this. Sadowsky MV5 Sonic Blue 5 string Jazz bass. See the Sadowsky Porno movie thread its the first bass in there. I have fitted the VTC in this and will sell for £1100 which is a steal. GB Spitfire 5 string, the one in my avatar, its also in the GB Porn thread and is a simply stunning bass which plays and sounds superb. Looking for £1100 for this which is what I paid for it a few months ago. Proel Softcase only with this. Celinder P bass passive 4 string. This is in the Celinder bass porn thread, 2 tone sunburst and as owned by Flanker and LoudnClear. You will not get a better passive B pass. Its got a lovely slim Jazz bass neck that makes it super playable and nails the P sound to a Tee. Looking for £1400 for this which is what I paid for it recently when I bought it back off Terry. Would prefer to meet halfway rather than ship but wouldn't rule it out. As I am after money no trades unless you have a Fodera ;-) Thanks for looking Steve
 17. Hi Dash, Welcome to the forum! I am from Birmingham. You could try PMT on the ring road, a guy called Trevor does the bass set up and he would have a quick look for you and give you a price I am sure and he seems to do a pretty good job of setup. Steve
 18.
Neil and his toys
Good Idea!! Hows your tapping piece coming along Steve
 19. Is there anyone on the forum who would be interested in doing a 20-30 demo of some sort if we do organize a bash. Potentially getting a few ideas and things in the pipeline here... Steve
 20. I remember talk of this before and thought it would be good. Would this be more of a Midlands bass bash than a National one though? Talking to Ped there were about 200 at the last national one and that would be more than Nick would probably want or could handle? Also I wonder if the location would make it harder for a national bash as people couldn't easily get there by train? I would suggest that it would be great to do this anyway regardless of if we have a national one or not? Just out of interest does anyone think a National one is worth trying to organise? There seem to be lots of local ones springing up which is great, would people still want a national one as well? Steve
We have been looking at a Bash in May or June at NAS's place in Worcestershire, which might be a long way for some folk (90 miles for me), but we get a stately home and 1300 acres to have our bash in, with no noise worries, as the neighbours are half a mile away. Nick reckons he can accommodate between 50 and 100 people (more if the weather is good). Plus we can raise a little bit of money for Nick's charities at the same time (see the "News of NAS" thread somewhere on here). Those who went last year can testify to how great a venue this is, and I suppose there wouldn't be the time constraints of using a "commercial" venue. If anyone thinks this is a worthwhile idea let's know, and I will liaise with Nick about some organisation. Steve
21.
couldnt make northhampton, to out of the way, but if a birmingham (or bristol ) bash arose, i could probably make that
Thats Settled, Northampton it is then In all seriousness I think Ped is having a look at different venues at the moment and Birmingham as well as Northampton is a possibility. More feedback or preferences on what people think would be great. I have just bought Stuart Claytons excellent slap book and I can't wait to annoy everyone at the next get together. I reckon I may be on chapter 2 by the time it comes around as well!! Steve
 22. Get well soon Nick!
 23.
Hmmm bright green Vester 4 string and as of Saturday's visit to BassDirect the Roscoe Century Standard....
Congratulations!! Lovely bass :-) Steve
 24. I owned a US Joe Osbourne and it was one of the nicest Jazz basses I have ever owned - Funkmunky has it now so maybe drop him a PM. I have played a few skylines (no Joe Osbornes however) and good as they were I definately felt the US model was worth paying the extra for but others may disagree. Steve
 25. Just received back my old Celinder P bass back from Terry in one of the quickest deals known to man. We discussed it on tuesday, I paid on tuesday night, the money was transferred wednesday and Terry shipped and the bass arrived this morning at 10:00 AM Superbly packaged and great communication throughout the deal. Deal with Terry with confidence!! Steve
