1.
They were great in Brum on Sunday. Janick's dancing annoys me - I can imagine Steve Harris wanting to smack him one LOL Up The Irons!
Janick seems to annoy alot of people... i don't think I know any Maiden fans who like him... and is there really any need for him to be in the band anyway?!
2. gotta go with Rio
3. i wear my bass pretty high so everything stays in the same place whether i'm playing seated or standing. Do occasionally get stick for it when playing the rock but just find it much easier. Sometimes if its a band where image counts then i'll sling it down low, which i prefer for chucking it about onstage but my left hand loses a lot of dexterity i find as it has to bend round more.
4. Sarzo is an awesome bassist and rock star!! but yes, maybe he does look a little out of place in this scenario... much more suited to his previous ozzy/whitesnake etc type more energetic/visual bands imho.
5. haha.. yeah prob ok with external links... just amused me.. i kept scrolling down and the giant pictures kept beating me to it!! yeah i've never seen another six string one, pretty rare i think (i found mine in some backstreet music shop)... i was dabbling with six string basses at the time and it played loads better than a yamaha trb6 i tried.
6. someone didn't read the post about large attachments!!! nice bass.. i used to have a six string version of this and was surprisingly good quality and playability for a 'lesser' brand name... so have a bumpage!
7. am liking the white one muchly!! but yes, theres only a certain amount of times you can re-invent the wheel surely?!
8. haha another one with him dropping his sticks
9.
This is my current favourite from him He's a legend!
haha quality... especially the bit at 0:28 in!!

13. slightly related... theres a new facebook group called 'London Live Blacklist (Good n bad London Promoters, Bands & Venues)' which could be handy for some peeps who are looking to gig in the big smoko! peace C
14. i once got described as 'enigmatic'.. which i kinda like!
15. don't think i've posted this before but just found it lurking on my hard drive.. The bass solo from Mr Big's version of the Deep Purple track 'Burn' its not on youtube as they deleted the audio but i've uploaded it to another site (not sure how to embed that here though so follow the link!) 16. they've been rehearsing/writing recently in the same studio we use here in sunny Lowestoft... he was using a Marshall VBA and matching 8x10 then.
17. same as other people here I used to occasionally dip into bassmasta for odd little bits of tab that i couldn't quite get by ear so was surprised to find it all changed to songsterr the other day. however, if you're after a particular song just pop it into google and when it comes up in the results click the 'cached' bit instead of the main 'bassmasta' link (which now redirects to songsterr) and it brings up the original bassmasta page not the songsterr one. peace c
18. woah!! that would rule.. bet its pricey though... and totally ingrained with Norm's sweat!!
19. heres a random one i stumbled across recently (not really bass related but random nonetheless..) Glen Campbell covering the Foo Fighters... i prefer it to the original...
20. and on a related note:
21. yeah pretty sure they had a double bass player - good stuff though
22. After doing my bands usual set of rock covers featuring plenty of Iron Maiden and running around/foot on monitor action playing a P bass fingerstyle: "really good bass playing, just like Keith Harris!!" hmmmm C
23. bump!! needs to shift this people!! am open to sensible trade offers - particularly after an all black Aerodyne Jazz but anything else interesting could grab my attention as long as theres a certain amount of cash coming my way still!! C
