  1. I do sell things on Facebook, but I try to be as reassuring as possible. Even WhatsApp video called with a potential buyer to demo an amp recently. Right now, there’s a cab on Facebook I would like to buy, the seller is responsive, but wants me to arrange the courier, but also can’t yet tell me the dimensions or weight. It’s not on Basschat either. I don’t know if it’s worth the worry. Rob
  2. I could write quite a long piece about this, but it's all out there to see now. I knew Justin quite well, and his Dad Rick. I used to deal with them quite a bit in the 90's and early 2000's. Mostly old amps, amp components and speakers. Only later did the full extent of their deceit come to light. They actually carried out/arranged robberies (the one in Italy was huge), they faked gear on an industrial scale, Dumble amps, plexi Marshalls, custom colour Fenders, Korina Gibsons, it must have run into £millions. There was a fake Marshall factory, with all the head cabinets out in the sunshine fading and being kicked about to relic them. There was even a Chip Shop Salt Shaker with vintage dust in it to shake dust inside the cabs.
  3. See my post above. Yes. If any of you are unaware of the Harrisons I would beg you to do some research. They are crooks, through and through. I personally know people who have worked for them. They had a reputation of being able to source anything..... and they could.....because they frickin made it
  4. Hmm. Isn't this place another front for Justin Harrison? edit: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/09481164/officers
  5. I did it the other night, late in the evening after a "couple of glasses of wine". I still may have to honour that one, we'll see. If I do, I will get a bargain, a classic, and something I may use, but I don't really need it !
  6. Just done it quickly. There is a configurable pad on velcro which can be moved around at the butt end. With it configured for a Jazz, it’s 120 cm from top to strap pin. But you can get an extra 6cm by removing the pad. Rob
  7. Bear with, just off out for dress rehearsal for a show. I’ll try to do it later when I’m back.
  8. Superb quality double gig bag, with lots of storage - 4 zipped compartments, tablet compartment, even a rain cover. Bought from this parish, used once by me. Pretty much as new condition. Price includes shipping to UK mainland. Spendy when new - link to more info at Andertons here: https://www.andertons.co.uk/gator-pro-go-bass-2x-gig-bag-for-2-bass-guitars Rob
  9. This kind of cloth straightens up with a very light going over with a hair dryer. Good luck
  10. Because.......... err, you make a good point. I'll see how easy it is to use the case in a standing position.
  11. I’ve found a pic of the serial number, it’s not my old one! Apologies
  12. It might not be my old one then. The wear pattern in the roadworn finish is identical to my old one though. Perhaps they were done to a pattern. Good luck with anyway!
  13. I sold this bass with a Ki0gon loom fitted, upgrade CTS solid shaft pots, jack and a nice capacitor. If they are still in it, this is a good deal. I'm tempted to buy it back, I've had sellers remorse since I sold it.
  14. You make a good point. I don't often walk a distance with my gig bag, but when I do, I want it to be right. The TGI Extreme I have has none of this leg slappage of which you speak, and I've walked some fair distances with that one. There is an element of "the grass is greener" going on for me here I'm sure. But I have almost made up my mind to sell the Reunion Blues and the Gator cases and try something else. The Mono seemed like a good bet. I wonder if the Bass Sleeve also has the same issue as the M80 you have? Rob
  15. Just looked more closely at the pics. The neck support is different on mine.
  16. Hmm. I have the guitar version of this. I really don't like the neck rest/holder, it's really loose. Admittedly I bought this a few years ago, is yours ok?
  17. It might be just me, but I can't bring myself to pay big money for a refinished guitar, although I'm sure it's lovely. Off topic, but their lack of detail in describing their basses is frustrating. Some of the vintage Fenders have not a single word! Example - https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/fender-jazz-bass-197 Also, all original? Answers on a postcard please: https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/fender-precision-1986
  18. Can you put the bass in and out from a standing position with that one?
  19. I should have added that I do own a couple of cases from either end of the spectrum. I have a Reunion Blues Continental Traveler which is a superb case, but it's a bit bulky, needs to lie flat to open, and on the heavier side for a gig bag - https://www.andertons.co.uk/reunion-blues-continental-voyager-electric-bass-guitar-case Also, at the other end of the scale I have a TGI Extreme which gets used a lot more often than the Reunion Blues because it's just light and handy. I also have a A Gator PRO GO BASS 2X GIG BAG FOR 2 BASS GUITARS, which I have never used, and will probably never use, as when I put two basses in it, it's too heavy to be practical! - https://www.andertons.co.uk/bass-dept/bass-guitar-strings-accessories/cases-bags-for-bass-guitars/gig-bags-for-bass-guitars/gator-pro-go-bass-2x-gig-bag-for-2-bass-guitars
  20. I fancy a Mono case, but there's a few to choose from, and I can't go and see them. I like the idea of pulling the bass out of the case from a standing position on tight stages. There's a the Bass Sleeve, Stealth Case, M80, Vertigo and Vertigo Ultra, all steadily increasing in price. What's a the basic Bass Sleeve like for you, or any of the others for that matter? Cheers, Rob
  21. ooo ooo ooo ooo heck, nice, oh no. I also have that cab, and a Bergantino. Must resist. Good luck with it.
  22. Lovely bass, and a very good price in my opinion. I'm surprised it hasn't been snapped up. Good luck with it.
