Great cab, super condition, almost mint, including Barefaced cover. I don't need to say anything about these cabs, if you're looking, you know. I've had quite a few BF cabs now, and I've settled on the 10's for my sound. Having just taken delivery of the new BF 3x10 this cab is now available for someone else to enjoy. Collection preferred from Morecambe, or can meet at a reasonable distance. Rob

Hindsight is a wonderful thing! I did the same with my 2x10. I'd have another 2x10 as well if one cropped up, super cabs. After my brief dalliance with the 12's I'm convinced the 10's are where it's at for me personally. But then I think and wonder when I might take a 2x10 out instead of the 3x10. The 3x10 is really easy to move around because of all the handle options plus the wheels. Either way, my Super Compact will be up in the classifieds soon, mint condition with official cover if any one is looking...... Rob

I would say no. I've had a Two10, and three One10's. The Two10 is an excellent cab (I'd have another one if it came up), and one would have done me fine on the gig last night, but the 3x10 is next level in terms of depth, tone and punch. I had this great big fat tone without being too loud. Rob

Well, the morning after the night before, and only 6 hours sleep because I have a plumber coming at 8am. I am blown away by how good this cab is. I didn't have to EQ my sound in, it's right there with everything set flat. It's got the right amount of everything, deep but not too deep, not boomy, not too toppy, lovely pushy mids and it's loud. I ran the Bergantino at around 9 - 10 o'clock on the volume and it was plenty, enough to control things from my bass. Also, I think every other member of the band commented on how good my bass sounded last night. It helped that we had a really good night musically. The band is really starting to cook. I'm a very very happy customer. Rob

I'm taking the 3x10 for it's first outing on a gig in Lancaster this evening. I'll be using my '73 P bass with flats through the Bergantino Forte D, that's it, nothing else. I'll let you know how I get on. Rob

Wow, that's tedious! Another of the reasons I have just left one of my bands is their propensity to rehearse a lot and gig very little. Since me joining in November 2022, there have been only 9 gigs, but 47 rehearsals!!!!

Our harmonica player has this and it seems to work well, with no conflicts with my wireless either.

Yes, I do. I've done the shared ownership twice before, when I was quite a bit younger, neither ended well. As musicians, we invest a lot in our own equipment. I'm fortunate to have built up quite a bit of valuable kit, and the musicians I play with have done the same. But I have met singers who think that they've spent a fortune on gear when all they've done is buy a nice microphone, and that they shouldn't have to buy their own PA to use it through.
-
Mine was also an artistic decision. Despite all of them being nice people, and some of them I now call friends, I just could not work with the drummer any longer on a musical level. ie, he's not musical ! I'm also a better guitarist than the guitarist! But, I could not bring myself to criticise their musical ability, it just felt cruel. So I'm "concentrating on my main blues band project".

I've just left a band too, so I sort of know how this feels. The 13th is only a week away. I personally would not expect the rest of the band to buy me out of the gear before that, it's a very short time scale. I'd be more likely to agree a couple of months. In my "band leaving situation", the PA is entirely owned by me, and there's a gig on 27th July. I'm going to let them use it, it's already at the drummers house, I'll go and collect it sometime afterwards, unless they want to buy it off me. I'm also having one-to-one sessions with my replacement (who they have found), to bring him up to speed, and to help out the rest of the band. I don't like burning bridges, it's much easier if we all get along and accommodate each other. Rob

Cheers Paul. @shug has a 6x10, and I've heard it on a gig, it's amazing. But I think he's looking for a second cab for smaller gigs, and it considering a 2 or 3 x10.

Bloody marvelous. It makes all of these amps sound bloody marvelous. To be fair, I could take any of these amps on a gig a smile the whole night. There's a complexity in the Bergantino I haven't really heard properly until now though, so I'm interested to see how it goes on a gig. It really suits the cab, much more than it did the Super Compact, which I thought made it sound too bright and too deep all at the same time. Rob

Well, what can I say? I love it. The Barefaced 10" sound is where it's at for me. Each of these amps sound better to me through this cab than they do through my Super Compact. I like the way they are warm and coloured. It's also very punchy and the bottom end doesn't dominate like it can with the 12"s. I'm very very happy with it. Three gigs to come this month too. Interestingly it's the first cab I have played the Bergantino through which has made me want to keep it over the others. After the last hour of A/B/C testing, the Bergantino is going on the next gig with me as the main amp. I suppose I had better withdraw it from the classifieds then! @shug you will love these. It ain't small though, it's the same size as a Super Twin, just not quite as deep. But the wheels and multiple handle options make it quite easy to move around. Well chuffed, Rob

It's here! Looks fab. I will try to give it a whizz this afternoon. Rob

I've just had an email from DPD saying that they are expecting my parcel from Barefaced, and I have a tracking number. I'm beside myself...... Rob

I had that exact rig. It was great.

You’re right, I was planning on keeping the SC before I ordered the 3x10. This extra 1x10 would only work with my Bergantino, and that amp is for sale. I’m already playing jazz gigs, so I should stick to the plan. The SC will definitely get used.
-
Oh shit, that's my last remaining Super Compact up for sale then. So then I'll have a modular 3x10/4x10/1x10 rig. Cheers Alex Edit: How will the impedance pan out?
-
If that is indeed a '59 neck, shouldn't they be showing the evidence of that, and shouldn't it be priced for A LOT more money than that? I'm looking for a late 60's/early 70's rosewood board Jazz neck, and the ones I've seen are a lot more money than this '59 P neck. Hmmm. Edit: 40mm nut width?? Rob

Ahh @shug No! It was ready to ship, then we went away so I had to delay the shipping. I'm hoping for this week. Awaiting an update. Rob

I had the valves/impedance conversation recently with Martin Garton (Gartone Amps). I have a valve head which ideally requires an 8 ohm load, but I want to run it into a 4 ohm cab. I haven’t tried it yet, as the cab isn’t here yet, but he said I probably wouldn’t notice any difference in volume, but the power valves would run a little hotter. He biased the amp on the cool side when it was with him last, so he said it would be fine. Rob
-
If the cabs are identical, design, speakers, sensitivity etc, except for the impedance, then the 4 ohm cab may sound louder to you. If you’re talking about wholly different cabs, make, manufacturer, speakers etc, then all bets are off. Rob

Jack Emmings isn’t the best at online communication. He’s generally on the road a lot. I bought an amp off him last year. Once we had established a dialogue though he was great to deal with. Rob
