That's great news! I've been on the wrong end of some ebay transactions before and it's no fun when the seller just starts ignoring your messages. However, I love how the community all worked together here in a positive way.

That groove was bad-ass! Never heard a bass sound like that before. Anyone know what bass he's playing there? It doesn't have a "P" Pickup.

...and here's a photo of my TRB5PII (Bubinga) that just arrived this morning from a bass shop in the UK named [i]The Gallery[/i]. I want to give a huge THANK YOU to [url="http://basschat.co.uk/user/8222-chris-horton/"]Chris Horton[/url] for PMing me back with a heads-up about a previously owned TRB5PII for sale at The Gallery. Alex Carter, the manager at the Gallery, was a pleasure to deal with. The biggest challenge was convincing my MasterCard customer rep that, yes, I really was buying a bass from a shop in the UK. But two phone calls with them plus them calling Alex directly to confirm my purchase sorted all that out, and Alex shipped the bass out the same day (Monday afternoon his time). It arrived this morning (Wednesday) at 10:30 AM. So now my TRB5PII quest is finally over! According to the serial number it was created in December 2007.

Here's a photo of my BB 405 and TRB1005 NT (my baby!) For strings I use Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2836's (.45 .65 .80 .100 .130).

Hi, nice to meet you all! I live in Virginia, USA and I've been playing bass (just for fun!) since 2001. I own a Yamaha BB 405, an Austin four-string (my first bass), and a Yamaha TRB1005-N (my baby!). I've been searching a Yamaha TRB5PII with Bubinga finish, so that's my current quest. I read that Yamaha discontinued the TRB5PII, although it is (oddly) still listed on the Yamaha Web site. Anyway, it's good to be here!
