  1. If you’ve got a P you want to swap we could have a proper comparison 😉
  2. I thought it was too early, that’s the Fender site, serial number decided that shows 94/5 so with that and I imagine with it being MIJ and having the stamped tuners it’s going to be 98. Dont get me wrong,I love them, but whenever I play a jazz it just never sounds like the sound I hear from other players 😄
  3. I’ve adjusted the price to 250 each as I’ve just spent quite a bit on new components for both and canabalised a 370 for its graphic board for one of them. Both are £250 firm plus postage. Thanks
  4. Eventually! Both are FULLY working order, both are 110v. I have 1 230/110-110/230 converter that I could sell. 1 has the graphic knobs missing but other than that both cosmetically very good for their age. Thanks
  5. Hi I’ve not managed to get there yet but I’m aiming for Friday Thanks
  6. The colour in the pictures is quite an accurate representation of the actual finish.
  7. 1975 Acoustic Control Corporation 406 (Narrow) 2x15 cab for sale. Newly restored with correct tolex, grills and new old stock corners. Original drivers installed and working well. All metalwork has been blasted and powder coated. This cab is immaculate and sounds amazing. Very loud and articulate cab, please don’t even ask the weight as if the weight of a cab is an issue to you, this is not for you. Collection from Byker or courier at your expense. Thanks £450 ovno
  8. I’ll have to weigh it tomorrow and let you know thanks
  9. I fancy a 301 and maybe another 406 Wide. How is the definition on the 301? Is it too subby or quite articulate? Thanks
  10. Yes that’s the style. I have to put new bolts on the drivers this week so will take a picture of the actual drivers.
  11. They are both original Eminence drivers with U shaped magnets, however one has been re coned by Wembley Loudspeakers.
  12. My 408 has recently been joined by another 408 and then a 406 which I’ve just finished restoring. I’ve put a thread inbuild diarys.
  13. I bought an acoustic Control Corporation 406 (2x15) on eBay. It looks considerably healthier in the listing than in real life. However after a 590 mile round trip that started with the idea of just re grilling it, turned into a complete restoration. I’ve done a couple of 406s and many other cabs so wasn’t too daunted by the idea. I stripped the tolex to find some water damage on the base and it was still slightly damp so I let it air dry for a little over a week. In the meantime ordered the tolex and grill cloth and took the handle and castor brackets to be blasted and powder coated. Once dry I sanded the old glue and bits of tolex off. Then filled the rough and damaged parts with 2 pack filler. Sanded again, painted the baffle and re grilled or. Today I Set about re Tolexing the cab and to my delight it was as painless as the stripping was. All tolex on and the cab reassembled inside of a day. The only thing I need to complete it is some new chrome corners.
