1. I've added foam around my pedals to stop lateral movement, doesn't matter how much Velcro I seemed to use there was always one a drift when i open it, but not anymore
2. No, 65 per band per month I know that's cheap but i do know other local bands pay about max 350 a month for unit space so its not too much and 3 or 4 ways a lot cheaper than going to a rehearsal room.
3.
That's really cool, how do you come by something like that? We might be losing our regular rehearsal space in the next few months and wondering if long-term renting a place and making it 'our own' might be cheaper than using a 'normal' rehearsal studio...
I would recommend it, split the cost with a couple of bands and it's very manageable we pay about 65 each between 4 bands for this plus electricity. Have a wander around the older industrial complexes around your area and speak to other tennents and see what's available an what the landlord is like? Try and avoid estate agents or property managers as they cost more than dealing with the landlord.
4.
I love your use of fabrics ... had you considered chintz?
There is some fabric left over and I was thinking of making the band matching waistcoats for that classy stage appearance
5. The latest shuffle around of gear and acoustic treatment of some more walls. We now have the 2 offices to the side and all the stored gear and settees and fridge etc are now out the rehearsal space. 6. How much would I need to pay to get a working acoustic 270? Cheers Dave
7. I've been busy archiving some DATs and came across this stuff from an cough cough "original" band, very derivative but we were young and the singer was crap. It was signed and the recordings done on a development deal but the manager was a crook and it all fell through lol otherwise Im sure we would have been superstars by now http://soundcloud.com/david-anderson-bassist/cove-force-majuere http://soundcloud.com/david-anderson-bassist/till-nothing-matters-force As I get more tweaked Ill stick them up if anyones interested?

HH 2x15

I bought this off eBay a few weeks ago, I have been looking for one for more than 20 years. They have come and gone in the past but been too far away etc. I always remember them being REALLY loud and plenty of bottom. I already own an HH 4x12 which I love and did own the older vertical 2x15 without the scoop but it was very quiet and muffled. I collected it on a 200 mile round trip to Brighouse after the £51 purchase, cheap enough but it needs new drivers (Joe, Captain Black has some that I must collect ) and it sat in the hallway for 2 weeks. I had loads of grill and tolex that I bought to do up the 412 over 15 years ago as at the time there was a minimum roll purchase, so this saved me buying and sourcing correct stuff. Anyway, yesterday came and was warm and dry so i decided to blitz the cab. Striping took al long time as the back panel has a recessed join seem that took forever to remove the old glue and tolex. Eventually the use of a very small braddal and a jigsaw blade held with pliers did the trick. Everything else was a breeze really, evostik contact adhesive and spray evostik and a sharp Stanley knife, cabinet paint and soap and water sorted it in about 8 hours. From this: To this: Going to use another piece of grill as the end of the roll i used has become dirty in storage which i didn't realise till it was on. Cant wait to get the drivers and give it a try

10. Wow got a lot of bottom for piccolo tuning.
11. Cracking video. Read the info about the timings too, is that A below low B on the bottom? Sounds very rich and woody.
12. That's very sexy Owain. What have you got the hipshots set to? Is this an extra addition to the Bennett collection or have you moved something else on?
