1. Yes Presto was the black wal, the red geddy signature was on roll the bones, much much warmer tone
2. 30-90 roto sound piano wound strings, into an API 550 into a furman PQ3 into BGW power amp into a thiele 2x15 was his rig, the wal is slightly warmer on this album due to it being natural as opposed to his black model. What geddy always fails to mention is his bass is always very heavily compressed too.
3. I like listening to the shipping forecast and sailing by, very relaxing
4. Moog Taurus II Bass pedal synthesiser, Mint with flight case and original manual, patch sheets and receipt. Prog yourself up for £600 only fault is the pole is missing and threaded insert is slightly damaged. Thanks David
5. The modern version: http://www.acousticbassusa.com/index.html
6. I bought this a couple of years ago in a real state, it had been covered in grey carpet and edged with aluminium profile. I stripped all that off and have left it in that state, I have no real inclination or time to finish this off at the minute and have no idea what its worth? The amp is long gone so its just the Cerwin Vega 18" speaker inside. I was told it was one of a pair bought from Jim Lea in the 70s to the person who I got it from, no provenance though. I will drag it out and get some pics of it at the rehearsal tomorrow but if you have a clue on price or interesting trades cab wise please PM me. Thanks David
