1. Oh my, always fancied one of these and it's my birth year too ,
2. Thanks
3. I have one which me and the guitarist share in the rehearsal room and he takes one out live, both are about 4 years old and have stood up to general abuse but careful use. I think they are brilliant for the money the only complaint i have is the soft dividers in the base need fixing in some way. I know they are loose to accommodate different guitars over time but they tend to move too easily, so much so the guitarist through his out but it works just as well. I like the look of the 3 instrument fender one which has much bigger dividers. Dave
4. I have a Fender 1976 100 watt bassman head which i really like and use in the house with a matching 1976 bassman 4x12. I love the sound of them but have always fancied an Orange head. Has anybody got any first hand comparisons of the 2 amps? Both I would imagine sound quite similar with basic eq and similar all valve design???? Cheers Dave
5. On hold pending.
6. Thank you and replied
7.
That has to be the most famous fireplace on Bass chat! Nice chrissy dex too. Good luck with the sale Dave... LC
Why thank you
8. Just spotted another project so going to see if i can sell this one on before I come attached to it, plus I have too many precisions as it is, or so the wife tells me Im in no hurry to sell this and I wont be too bothered if it doesnt sell lol. I have just put this on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=170750143010 but would happily let this go on here for exactly what the project cost me £1050 It comes with a new black tolex case or hiscox case, whichever you prefer? Cheers Dave
9. Thanks for the comments, yes they are the original cream DiMarzio pickups,
10. 10lb 5oz GULP but my 75 Jazz is heavier by 1 oz
11. Cheers Burrito / Michael, The neck has quite a bit of flaming around the sides up to the 5th ish fret but i think its a trick of the light combined with the late 70s thick gloss lacquer on the fingerboard.
12. I bought this from SidVicious here on BC and have spent a pretty penny on it to get it back to life, I seem to be falling into a pattern of restoring Precisions It came to me in this condition, but had previously been in this condition, It apparently was originally natural, then sprayed black then stripped and partially filled/sanded by Sid. It took a huge amount of prep from Genius Dave Wilson, filling, sanding re profiling of edges, and stripping out the neck pocket to get new paint in without over tightening the joint (which is now perfectly tight). Primed Colour coat (Olympic White with Yellowed Lacquer) Test fit by Dave Final assembly by me last night, It sounds fantastic, big deep and tight, but it is a hefty lump of Ash It needs a new CTS circuit that I may put in but as per the last 4 I may just sell it on and start on the next project.
13. Restoration complete 1978 refinish, non original bridge and tuners. Hugely weighty ash body and massive tone

15. Really sorry to hear about the RA too Sam, This is without doubt one of the best P basses I have heard, If I wasn't in the middle of restoring another one I would have this back in a shot. The paint is flawless, top quality hardware, plays lovely and Sam is a great bloke to deal with. Good luck with the sale mate
