1. 10lb 5oz GULP but my 75 Jazz is heavier by 1 oz
2. Cheers Burrito / Michael, The neck has quite a bit of flaming around the sides up to the 5th ish fret but i think its a trick of the light combined with the late 70s thick gloss lacquer on the fingerboard.
3. I bought this from SidVicious here on BC and have spent a pretty penny on it to get it back to life, I seem to be falling into a pattern of restoring Precisions It came to me in this condition, but had previously been in this condition, It apparently was originally natural, then sprayed black then stripped and partially filled/sanded by Sid. It took a huge amount of prep from Genius Dave Wilson, filling, sanding re profiling of edges, and stripping out the neck pocket to get new paint in without over tightening the joint (which is now perfectly tight). Primed Colour coat (Olympic White with Yellowed Lacquer) Test fit by Dave Final assembly by me last night, It sounds fantastic, big deep and tight, but it is a hefty lump of Ash It needs a new CTS circuit that I may put in but as per the last 4 I may just sell it on and start on the next project.
4. Restoration complete 1978 refinish, non original bridge and tuners. Hugely weighty ash body and massive tone
5. Really sorry to hear about the RA too Sam, This is without doubt one of the best P basses I have heard, If I wasn't in the middle of restoring another one I would have this back in a shot. The paint is flawless, top quality hardware, plays lovely and Sam is a great bloke to deal with. Good luck with the sale mate
