PRICE DROP £400 WEM Monitor Reverb. It was re capped about 10 years ago and has worked flawlessly since then. Very good original condition. This was bought new by a family member direct from Mr Watkins who apparently lived around the corner at the time. I will list as collection only but I’m happy to package up in bubble wrap and heavy duty cardboard if you want to organise a courier but I would insist on insured courier. The weight and dimensions are; 32.5kg 58cm W 24cm D 79cm T I’d suggest adding 2cm to all the dimensions and 1.5kg to the weight to cover packaging materials. Or for fuel costs we could meet as I’m often travelling up and down the country. Any questions please ask Thanks

Fantastic. Huge bottom end and clarity. I love it.

Bit of a spurt on this weekend. The grill was done on Saturday and Sunday I got the centre section covered. Yesterday I re glued some edges that I deliberately left light on glue to stop to much squeezing out. I collected the corners from the nickel platers today and put those on. It’s all finished, baring some excess glue around some joints which needs rubbing off and I’ve bought some black bumper epoxy to build up the gap on the broken input plate.

Side N°2 done today and I de-stapled the old grill cloth. They weren’t looking to save money on staples at Peavey. There was approximately 300 😬. I’ve stapled the new cloth to the frame just to try and straighten it a little before fixing it properly.

Big cab, very efficient, moves big air though 😉

I had a spare few hours this afternoon so managed to get the patterns marked, cut out and one side applied. I’m very pleased with the quality of the Levant. Id painted the baffle yesterday with satin black but it’s not a consistent finish so I’m going to redo it with just a matt black. As usual I had some excellent helping from Elvis 🙄

I recently got my hands on a Peavey 3620. I’ve wanted one ever since seeing them in a 87 copy of a Peavey Monitor magazine. I’ve only seen one other in the U.K. sold on here when I searched for one many year’s ago. This one came from Manchester area. The owner collected and restored Cabs but only got around to stripping the tolex off this one before unfortunately passing away. The kick back/ wheel board had been detached, the handles, corners and jack plate all removed. First job was to glue, screw and tack the wheel board back on. It was left for a week before I attached the wheels. Next came a full strip of the drivers, grill badges and trim. Today I wanted to fill, sand and start attaching the tolex which arrived last week. Unfortunately the cab had a lot of old glue on the outside and there were a lot of scrapes and dints that needed filling and sanding after I had sanded the old glue off. Hopefully I’ll be able to start attaching the tolex this week. I’m also going to drop the corners off at the platers to get re-chromed. Fingers crossed the cab sounds as good as I hope. I’ve bought and rest many cabs and amps that I’ve previously lusted over and they turned out to be a great disappointment.

I found a B402-A. Collected it from Edinburgh IKEA yesterday. It needed a deep clean. I put new strings on and set It up to my preferences. The active circuit is very powerful. It reminds me of the Spector Haz circuit. I’m very pleased with the Bass.

I recently joined a Deep Purple Tribute, having never really paid them much attention in the past, I was pleasantly surprised by the bass playing. Not only that but it’s given me the opportunity to gig my Rics again.

I’ve finished the aluminium profile on the lower grill. It needs the corners tightening up (it’s all one piece of aluminium like the original) so I’ve given it to a blacksmith friend who’s got a very sharp 90° angle on his vice. Mine has wooden jaws so the angle and alignment is a touch vague and I want it spot in before the corners are soldered up. The preamp has also had a service and a coupe of minor issues sorted out.
