Im just putting one together as I have joined a Floyd tribute. Never really rated Waters until I was learning the sets. Not technically challenging but difficult arrangements with tasty variations and like you say great song writer.
I bought these a couple of years ago to have in a practice room, They are 1x15 plus horn but the horn doesn't work. They are built to a VERY high standard with excellent woodwork making them solid cabs. I sold one to a student who wants to sell so provisionally these are being sold as a pair. I would say as a project as they need painting and the horns sorting but will make cabs that could easily take a 500 watt driver. I have the original ASS badge to go back on the cab too. I will sort out a pic of the other but it looks the same as this. £60 collected from North Tyneside Cheers Dave
BUMP
i agree with that (about Clayton). Tho Clayton ain't the best i think some of his basslines are pretty cool. 'New Years day', Mysterious ways, Bullet the blue sky. also with The Edge tossing it off with all is 'clever guitar bits. He had to keep the bass simple. Like Mike Anthony in Van Halen, he didn't have much choice but to pedal
Might have been mentioned before BUT, WE ALL, without exception have been sh*t when we were learning, it is unfortunately now (or fortunate, depends how you see it), the nature of the music industry that some people have to go through that stage in full public view (Guigsy, Vicious etc) . Combined with short career spans (some not all) they never get the chance to develop into competent musicians. And talent? I think very few have a given ability to play impressively without practice. For the rest of us its pure and simple muscle memory. The more you put in =the "better" you get. your satisfaction and enjoyment Dave

To be honest I think McCartney is pedestrian at best, His line and playing are function and occasionally extend into mildly interesting, but never inventive or exciting. You could probably argue they are perfectly suited to the songs but that's without any comparison so difficult to argue. I have heard people say "Its what he doesn't play"..........Well anyone can play silence
