Just bought this babe, I think its a Mk2 from 1987, I really wanted a Mk1 (just like Rockschools Henry Thomas - remember him?) but they are so rare that had to get this one and what tones!!
Stunning.
1/3 of the price of a custom shop p ,but equal quality . All work by D.WILSON
I know Dave's work and would never trust an instrument to anyone else. His finishes are immaculate and his attention to detailing is impeccable. I would say this will easily surpass a CS.
Blimey, someone likes Stingrays... Are they all 3 band or is there a 2 band lurking at the back?
The Staus neck and the 78 at the back are 2 band.
hey mate why you dont buy an HH model ? have u ever tried one?
I haven't tried the HH but Im not sure i like the look, thats not the only reason, i wouldnt buy a bass on looks alone but i really like the sound out of the single H it gives me everything i need and has more depth and cut than i need. Combined with a programmable sansamp and subtle finger position and dynamic playing changes i have all i need. Saying that, I wouldnt rule out trying or buying one if i liked them. Have you got one? is it much different/better than the H? Cheers Dave

"But the lure of bringing back The Who was too much for him to resist and he joined Daltrey, Townshend and Moon to plan the band’s North America Reunion Tour. Tragically, Entwistle was found dead in his hotel room on the eve of the first show." Were they planing on digging him up for the shows or was he just involved in the planning stage ?
I did want these basses to be recognisably different from our UK handmade instruments – however both headstocks have been used by me before – so there is some continuity here. But as I said earlier, there will be quite a bit of re-working and refinement before we go into production and things will change, plus there are a couple of other models in the range not yet seen... It has already been decided that only the Overwater logo will appear on the front of the headstock on the production models. Prices will start around £329 in the UK for the passive ‘Classic J’ basses and around £449 for the active ‘Aspiration’ – raising up to around £899 for the ‘full Overwater spec’’ ‘Elite’ models.. Five strings and fretless will be available before the end of the year...
Hi Chris, Been watching the thread with interest and am very interested in trying these out, will you be stocking them at the Jam Factory? Would love to visit and catch up. Best wishes Dave Anderson
This may sound stupid, I'm an amateur "producer" after all, but I've looked and can't find what I'm looking for... so here goes nothing; I have a DVD that I got free in a magazine, and it has a shed load of drum samples, really decent quality and royalty free. Each sample is a .wav of each individual pad (kick, snare, hat etc..) and I was just wondering how I can go about using them. I've been using reaper and I'm really comfortable with it now, so I was kinda hoping there's an easy way to it. Perhaps there's a vst plugin which lets you load and edit the samples, and then trigger them with MIDI? I was kinda hoping this was the way, but I fear it's gonna be much harder than that. I have actually been wondering about this for a while, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers in advance
What sequencer are you using? Reason, logic and Cubase have their own soft sampler which can have these individual hits loaded into key maps and triggered via midi. Quite complicated to explain via messages, there will probably be something on youtube? Logics ESX24 Dave
