I owned one for a few months and had it restored/ covering and capacitors. Very loud amp but also VERY bright, had to have the bass on full and treble on 0 to get a usable tone.

(spelling) Im not sure of the collective of genius................anyway, they seem to do a kit for every piece of gear or could advise you of possible sources of research. My 75 Jazz has its serial number on the neck plate and my 78 precision has its on the face of the headstock.

They were actually made for the Inner London Education Authority and are referred to as ILEA basses. Made as set neck basses for the schools with iirc emg selects and M3 bridges and schaller machines, they were sold for around 200 quid and they made very little money on them surprisingly enough Dave

Ok just to clarify, I didn't see the band as they were in a marquee out the back of the hotel and i couldn't leave the room due to child sitting duties, so i don't know if there were 2 female singers although there was no banter between songs so i doubt it. I also cant confirm if the bassist was wearing a red beret. I was however wearing a lovely ensemble of green cargo shorts and a white O Neill T shirt sipping tea on the patio whilst perusing the John Entwistle Bass Collection book and the illustrated guide to the Fender Bass.
