8. By the by, but on a Vigeir note, I had to align the knobs on my bass, because im anal like that, so just for info the knobs are not pull off/ push fit but have a cap that has to be removed with a very thin blade which reveals a nut underneath in the body of the knob. Cheers Dave
 9.
My vigier has definently NOT had a refinish!
Great condition for its age then. Nice one.

 11.
Lovely bass there! As has already been noted, the finish on my Arpege is literally flaking off; the back of the bass is getting very chipped - I liken the finish to that of a Smartie!! Funnily enough, the finish on the Passion I've now sold to Dave Anderson (hi Dave!) was much higher quality with a real depth to it!
Alright Nick, how you doing? 213 is very nice and close in colour to mine I was wondering, I have experience of Gel coats, The gloss finish layer for fibre glass ie. boats, It forms a brittle layer that crack and flakes after a few years especially if the material its applied to moves. I wonder if this is applied as a finish coat to the necks and then bodies of Vigiers, The necks stay perfectly rigid over time however as we know wood swells and shrinks even tiny amounts, which would cause the smartie effect? Dunno what do you think? And Kev thanks for the contact and images, I think the bass is possibly a refinish? It doesn't have the Vigier decal on the body, but Im a Vig novice and not sure of the continuity of this??? Also the bass finish is too much of a brown burst for my liking. Dave

 15.
That is a seriously good looking bass, and knowing how good Vigiers are Im sure it plays superb! My Passion III 5 string is so good it plays itself. The guys in my band love its sound and everyone loves the looks. Im jealous. Seriously - Vigiers are awesome, im yet to play a bad one.
Hi I gigged it for the first time on Sunday, I planned to use it for the first set only however it was so comfortable i used it for the whole gig without any thought of the different neck shape, something i have previously found a challenge due to playing one main bass live for 15 years! The only thing that requires work are the eq settings, The bass sounded great by itself however lost a lot of tone when the band kicked in, but my eq is set for another bass and i will tweak over the next few gigs till its sorted! I love it and cant put it down Dave
