    It's a shame @AndyTravis if you still have to sell gear, including the Ripper, to afford the significant house re-fitting work needed to help Iris. But ultimately a bass is wood and wire and your family's health comes first every time. Hopefully the generosity of the BC community makes a meaningful dent in your outlays to help your daughter.     Sorry to hear that. I am an ignoramus on matters electrical but have you tried a squirt of contact spray? Maybe this would help if there is some dust or similar built up (especially if left untouched for some time)?
