  1. @Rich are you able to make Alice aware of this thread, so she can read the comments and tributes from fellow BCer's? Nick was well liked and respected on the forum and I would imagine she would appreciate seeing this?
  2. Bought a nice pedal off Dan and all was ticket-boo, fine and dandy and so on. Very happy, many thanks Dan!
  3. La Bella Low Tension Flats that were briefly on my now-departed short scale Serek Midwestern bass last year and sat in drawer ever since. Trimmed for 2+2 headstock. Very good condition, bar slight fuzzing of silks. Will last for years. I have lost official packaging (I have an old long scale LTF sleeve, as shown on photo) but they will be well packed. New price at Andertond is £55. How about £30 posted?
  4. Dunlop flats bought on the forum some time ago for a Fender shaped object (ie 4 in line headstock). Can't find the details but fairly sure they are 45-105 gauge. Fair, rather than very good, used condition with years of life left. No official packaging but will be well packed. How about £23 posted, which compares with eye watering new price of around £75?
  5. Light gauge Chrome flats bought in January for £50 to try out on my Ric. Trimmed for 2+2 headstock accordingly. Stayed on the bass only for a few days (and a few hour's playing time). I have lost the official packaging but they will be safely packed. How about £28 posted, a little over half price?
  6. I bought these brand new (for £35) to instal on a string-through-body Fender Jazz bass and trimmed the E, A and D accordingly. After less than a day (and no more than a couple of hours' playing time), off they came to be replaced by my tried-and-tested TI Jazz flats. How about one-third off, so £23 posted?
  7. I believe they are high quality lookalikes and have a FaceBook page. Not something we would of course buy or sell on BassChat, given the history which we don't need to go into
  8. Thanks Karl, I am cognizant of the fact there would be a lot to do to restore this - replacement wavy tuners (very spendy and hard to get hold of), new scratchplate, replacement 70s style bridge pickup etc. Hopefully at this price, this makes allowance for a possible resto job. The accompanying box of replacement pickups and parts (Retrovibe etc) could also be sold off piecemeal to help defray the outlay a little. Alternatively, it sounds pretty damn good to my ears and I think looks v cool, as is!
  9. PS,I would drop the price another £100, to £1500 +pp, if I kept the Mono gigbag and sent in the tatty but padded/protective old gigbag that Gunnar used
  10. There was a Jazz bass rout when Gunnar acquired it (which is why, I believe, he made the conversion to a 4001-alike). This was filled and a new rout added for the toaster neck pickup. Pic below

    Rambam Feedback

Roy bought my Handbox WB-100 and travelled all the way to London to collect. Very friendly and he was super patient when we sorted out some technical issues ... I am delighted to say that it all turned out brilliantly in the end, with everyone happy 🙂 Highly recommended
  12. High quality big muff pedal in very good condition. The blurb says: "The GREY STACHE is based upon the GGG-tuned and Civil War versions of the EHX Big Muff Pi, creating one versatile guitar AND bass-friendly monster! The tone stack features the ability to keep the unit at "stock" (scooped mids) or boost the mids (important for bassists to punch through in the mix). We offer many mods to allow the user to get everything s/he wants out of a muff." Selling as simplifying my pedal board setup with smaller, more basic (cheaper!) pedals. Cost me £149 a few months ago. £100 handed over in SW13 London, south of Hammersmith Bridge, or add on signed-for/tracked post at cost.
  13. You know the drill, Swiss Army knife of an Ampeg SVT-flavoured preamp/DI/cab sim pedal, built like a tank. Very good condition (edit: just spotted it has a dead clothes moth on top, underneath the GE of VINTAGE, its not a ding!). Selling as simplifying my pedal board setup. £280 handed over in SW13 London, south of Hammersmith Bridge, or add on signed-for/tracked post at cost.
  14. Typical BC comment: I would take this if my Ric 4000-to-4001 conversion were to sell - which helps you not one jot, since it hasn't sold In which case, please take this as a bump from me for a lovely bass!
  15. Tried the bass again today and the treble pickup knob is still being a bit sketchy. Putting the sale on hold until I have sorted it out. Will order some contact cleaner asap
  16. Try WhatsApp'ing Will on this number. Normally responds v quickly. Think he is also on BC as @Willfunk
  17. Fair do's Bluewine. I mistakenly took your first reply to me as somewhat high handed and apologise if I came back as somewhat snarky. As @Mickeyboro rightly pointed out, different strokes for different folks. For me, music is a fun sideshow from my main day job(s) and consequently the money side is less important.
  18. Just bought a lovely bass from Niccolo. The whole process from initial comms to delivery was flawless. Many thanks!
