Maybe a Roscoe LG 3000 ?
Hi there, thanks for the offer but I would prefer a sale or - failing that - one of the trades mentioned in post 6 above PS, thanks for comments Dingus and ChiliWailer. If you like a 1.75" nut width you will like this bass a lot, sadly my left hand just aches when I play it for more than a few minutes -
Couldn't spot a thread so started a new one. Adam bought a couple of bass books from me. All good, very friendly, quick payment etc. Nice one mate!

Sorry for now will look to a straight sale. The only p/x I can think of that would float my boat would be a CIJ Fender PB70-US, the 70s Precision with a B width neck (1.625") in oly white. Or trade +/- cash for a B-width early 1970s US Fender P in sunburst or oly white (rosewood neck only) or a Rob Allen Mouse fretless. A bit specific -

I bought this beauty from Legion (aka Jas) about a month or so ago and it is immaculately made, beautiful to look at and light as a feather (7lb 6 oz), which is great for my dodgy back. The one problem is I cannot get on with the 1.75" nut width and hence I am moving it on. Unfortunately the original BassDirect ad listed this as having a 1.5" Jazz width nut and I only discovered when I collected from Jas that this wasn't the case (he incidentally didn't mention the nut width in his ad and I just assumed the BassDirect listing was correct, so its no fault of Jas). Those who follow my ludicrous buying/selling history will know I sold my year-of-birth 1963 P bass as I could no longer handle the 1.75" nut width (long story starting with a broken left hand in 2011). I hoped that I could cope with this width on the Lull (especially as its quite a shallow neck front to back) but its not the case, sadly There are lots of photos in Jas' thread http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2241854 and here is the original FS thread referencing the BassDirect listing http://basschat.co.u...ull-p4-on-hold/ Here are BassDIrect's original pics. Other than one tiny pin head-sized indentation on the underside the bass looks as if it just left the factory (it hasn't left my house since I got it and Jas' pics show the immaculate condition) [s]I am after recouping the £1600 value we agreed in our p/x trade or as close as poss[/s]. £1500 with handover in central London. Comes in a Protec Lull-branded semi-hard gigbag. Collection preferred in London area

Hi all, short notice but we've been offered a support slot at the OQH in Islington a week Wednesday. Mid-week not always good for people but - as ever - would be great to see some BC'ers there

Lenny bought a music book off me. All good, as before

I bought the Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny album 'Beyond the Missouri Sky' over a decade ago and loved it. I then completely forgot about it. Now that I am more DB-focused I chased it down again and wow what stunning, sensitive playing by Charlie Haden. No pyrotechnics just solid support play and some tasteful solos. Thoroughly recommended. Here's a couple of tracks (the second is the wonderful Morricone theme tune to Cinema Paradiso) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybm2AjzDYXM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwJKhdXlVTc

Chris bought a music book from me. Quick payment, friendly comms. Couldn't ask for more

Just ask him to listen to Bad Company, Bauhaus, etc etc Then tell hiim that if you don't add in slidey-ness, a fretless bass sounds just like ..... errrr ..... a bass

Nice pics Tim. I reckon you and Waynepunkdude are vying for the biggest percentage weight loss in the time I've been on BassChat. You both look (almost) like different people. Can you share your secrets with me, haha!

http://www.allanwilk...co.uk/node/3031 Bit of a thread revival with a nice review from Northern Sky "Utterly dramatic, as their name suggests, the music of London-based sextet All The Queen's Ravens has all the theatricality of a burlesque side show, equally matched by the band's dazzling presentation. With a dozen songs written by the outfit's two enigmatic singers Laura Hillman and Charlotte Aggett, together with guitarist Luke John Wills, the band take us on a joyride through a musical landscape filled with a mixture of gospel, flamenco, jazz-tinged blues, folk stylings and Native American chants, each performed with a tight and confident delivery. The energy and flamboyance of the band's live performances is captured on this their debut album, which maintains an attention-grabbing attitude through to the end. With a particular Anglo-Spanish feel, especially of such songs as the enticing opener Aura Negra, the expressive Las Vegas Parano, inspired by Hunter S Thompson's Fear and Loathing exploits and the Fado-esque Profundo. Completing the line-up is Camilla Johns on mandolin, Clarky on bass and Rob Davies on drums and percussion. A thoroughly engaging debut." -

ah, here's the thread from StingrayPete1977 in which he points out Spiros are too short for a Stagg unless you get into modification. I'd say its too much hassle for you, Gareth/smaz http://basschat.co.uk/topic/196792-spiros-too-short-l130-wasted/page__hl__stingraypete1977
