1. If it helps, I assume you are in Camden Rob (hence name) and the Bass Gallery must be very close - they will refret a fretless for about £200 and do a superb job
2. Addendum - I include £10 postage cost within UK. Post to mainland Europe would be about £20-25, ie, all-in cost about £390-395 to France/Germany/Belgium etc depending on fast or economy service
3. Sorry but in answer to a couple of PMs this is sale only. I already have too many amps (four) which is why this lovely piece of kit is for sale!
4. Bump. Hard to find anything as tiny as this with as much power - 2.3 pounds delivering 550W of clean, quality amplification
5. Looks like this is sold pending the usual
6. maybe its not the cost but the bureaucracy and paperwork? in any case, Francis Deck has made his design openly available for people to copy. Perhaps Orchid/A.N.Other are missing a trick here?
7. fdeck don't have a CE mark (or whatever the European official designation is for a tested instrument) and its proprietor Francis Deck can't afford to spend the money to get one. As a consequence he sells to the US market only. Hence you need a middle-man to get one outside the US
8. Trial didn't work out so this is still FS. I have a couple of BCers with 2nd and 3rd dibs but in case they drop out, just flagging this up

obbm's feedback

A big thank you from me too - Gareth (walbassist) had a trial of my Fender A/E fretless and it developed an electrical problem. Dave re-soldered and tidied up all the electrics, all at no charge as we were both BC'ers. What an absolute gent and a star!
10. In case anyone interested, Vicente Amigo is playing at UNion Chapel, Islington on 24th September. He will be playing his flamenco/celtic fusion project Tierra http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06o459Z59zE
11. takes 2-3 weeks as Francis Deck is a one-man band who has to send his pedal to caeman first, who will then send on by the always-slow US postal service. But a very useful preamp and - as I mentioned - caeman is a friendly guy. I f you can't get hold of him I believe bassace (Roger) got his via Talkbass' drurb as middle man (his real name is Les and he seems to be one of the more senior/respected DB players there)
12. To add on the Heritage, they do a pretty fair imitation of gut, considering they are steels. Witness the amazing Phil Palombi playing the reconstructed bass of the late great Scott LaFaro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fqQ9dCk9oU
13. It's a guy called caeman http://www.talkbass.com/forum/member.php?u=126759 very friendly, you PayPal, he orders and posts on

16. Cheers Tom and it looks virtually brand new too. I am surprised it hasn't been snapped up but then again the same applies to loads of other good stuff for sale on BC
17. Kev bought a set of Velvet double bass strings off me. Friendly comms, fast payment, all good. Cheers!
18. Wowzer that went fast and not hard to see why! So who's the lucky dude?
19. Keith and I continued our BC pass-the-parcel (of double bass strings) game. Ever the gent, our Keith
20.
That is a wicked tune mate! Right up my street - even Mrs.'tone liked it. She said ,"Ooo that's good, who's that?" I told her and she said,"That's much nicer than that other rubbish you've been listening too!" Needless to say the Brand X hasn't been going down too well! Cracking tone there Clarky, really smooth. What strings are you using?
cheers for that! The strings are Rotosound Tru Bass, the big fat black nylon strings as used by Herbie Flowers, Jah Wobble and Macca

23. Erm, BC's very own wateroftyne? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhdDipy8MB0
24. Haven't played there for a few years but the Underworld in Camden certainly used to be a focal point for the heavy rock/metal/thrash scene Also could try The Purple Turtle in Camden?
